Russian was compulsory for me back in primary and secondary school. I had it for 9 years. I still remember some words and I can still write and read. One day I would like to brush up my knowledge. Then came English. At uni I started to learn Italian but a year later switched to Spanish. I need more practice in Spanish. It's such an easy language!

Hebrew is an errrmm... interesting language. One of my former classmates is Jewish. She used to try and teach us Hebrew. The way it is written is kind of funny, I think.

My ex's first language is French - had I stuck t omy principles about the French I could have spared myself immeasurable harm. Rule number one - any place the French have colonized is never "right" thereafter. Examples - Haiti, Rhuanda, Vietnam, Montreal and Louisiana . . .

Those days most people hated the language and didn't know much of it which, of course, was understandable given the historical circumstances. For years my knowledge was very poor so were my marks but in the last year of primary school something clicked in me and I suddenly understood things which had been totally unclear to me for years!! From that time I only had mark 5s. I mean in secondary scool. Russian is not a very difficult language. You just have to learn the letters; that may take some time, but the rest is manageable.

Sure - now that I have escaped the boss's clutches everyone has left or gone silent . . .

Yes. The letters do look awfully complicated.

I'd join a Russian class if I could. Sadly enough I just don't have the time. And very inconvenient work hours on top of that too...
