I have to drive 25 minutes to get to my barn and with gas prices the way they are, I really need my horse to be closer.

yea they do but they don't work that great and they are extremly expensive and shes not thath bad you just have to watch for bad days and never let her get away with anything because once that happens she will walk all over you

yea ours is about 25mins too but its really the best fit for us and the horses so we will prob stay

The show last weekend was at a barn 4 minutes from my house. I used to board there when I first started riding, but it got crappy and I got a new trainer. Now, I don't really need a trainer and this barn has a new manager and is getting better again.

So, it really makes the most sense. And the trails are amazing. I could literally walk Volcano up to my front door.

And I wish we had more barns. That's the problen. All the nice barns are in Denver.

yea we have lots because we have the most horses per person in the northeast because of the track

The nicest barn in Colorado is where the next horse show is. I always look forward to that one.

I'll be doing 2 weeks of showing starting the 16th. Fun and exhausting!

I always come home to a dirty house and loads of laundry and everything everywhere because I was too busy at the show to get anything done

Yup, I know EXACTLY what that's like! Although, I'm lucky to have my husband to do laundry and stuff

you don realize how much your parents did for you till you have to do it yourself

oh lucky did you find a horsey guy or did you have to introduce him to the life ? my sister had to teach her finace everything...

Boy, ain't that the truth! I'm damn lucky to have a man who willingly does the laundry...he is a rarity among men.

He is MOST definitely NOT a horse guy. He used to come to my shows, he was such a good sport. But he's developed allergies to shavings and hay, so he can be around the barn for 10 minutes and then he starts sneezing. Even eith that, he STILL came to the show last Saturday. God, I love him!

that is rare but I am spoiled my dad does all those things without complaint so any guy I date that doesn't I get mad

That is understandable.

I don't think I have done more than 12 loads of laundry in my entire life. I'm spoiled in that way.

the teenage brothers of the girls I used to show with as a teenager used to come watch just to see all the gilrs run around in there britches matter of fact the guys on campus used to stare at us when we had class right after our lesson with no time to change

That sounds a bit familiar...

oh i don't mind laundry at all I mind dirty places tough I am a bit of a neat freak so I get annoyed when people don't clean like me
