Were they different clocks? Now that would fuel some interest!!

But the times? So you fall asleep after you have a "satisfying go-round" with your spouse! What did they expect, that it should have lasted longer than an hour??? Razz Razz

To me the clocks look the same. The times are just different, but that is not unusual. The only thing that I am thinking in this scene is that the two of them only got about one hour of sleep from sth around 4:47 to 5:46... before Jared and Cam woke them. And that is w/o the time that was 'lost' b/c of sex Wink

Yes, it's the clock being 'different'--how the numbers have a different format and all--and HH saying everything was done on purpose.

I just don't see the quantum leap from that to sex being real.

Oh, the clocks are different!! And it looks like something else on his night table. Now I'm going to have to go home and pull out my video and take a closer look at that, and of the scene when they're getting dressed too!

The clock is the same for me. And time seems to be ok, too: she came home at 4:47, they had sex and afterwards were sleeping till 5:46. Still don't see anything unusual.

My connections on this site are getting so sloooowwww!

Anyway, no they are totally different. If a clock will show 4:47, then the 5:43 should show just that 5:43, not 0543 like it does in the picture. The number format is different! This might be a clue. Someone who plays those "what''s different with this - that picture" must have spotted that!!)

A flashforward is something that will happen in the future. So, sex might be a scene from the future... or what? I'm confused. (Should I tell to everyone "Who are you?", too? Very Happy )

I don't know! What, do I look like a genius??

I'm just saying that it's very interesting!! At the very least I'd think it meant that they weren't just a continuation of the same scene, that somehow they were different "storylines" that somehow looked a bit different.

One idea that just popped into my head ... you know how folks can't figure out whether it's Brennan's writing or Booth's dream. Well, if we can find some more incongruities, that would lead me to believe that maybe we were getting bits and pieces of both of their psyche (can't think of a good word!) I'm going to go watch this again, and see what I can come up with!!

my main prob with that is that the entire room looks the same-- if a clock is enough to make us wonder, a whole room should tell us more, right?

I've read,
the end (the sex) in the beginning (the morning after). the sex was real.

Suspect

I really can't see that.

Yeah, me too! You know, I almost wish I had hated this episode. Because I loved it so much I'm still here, theorizing... instead of doing the heaps and heaps of work I'm supposed to be doing. Embarassed

I think it is because the first time you see the clock, it reads 4.47 and the second time, it's switched to 05.43 (military time). As far as I can tell, it's exactly the same clock though, Brennan has the same ear-rings in, nail polish on and nothing in the room is different.

Because they are different formats though and the episode is called 'The End in the Beginning' and the bit Hodgins says about 'is she the same woman she was a year ago', people think the sex is real and from the future. Still with me?! Very Happy

HH tweeted 'everything is deliberate', or something like that, but I just think he's trying to get people talking again and it was a continuity error. But, what do I know?! Very Happy

eta: Ignore me, this is all posted above anyway. How did I miss an entire page of posts? Now that's spookier than a clock with a different format (to me anyway). Laughing

I could get on board with the flash-forward but I need to take a closer look at that room. However that the sex was real, in real time? Uh, no. When? I mean, before or after he was in a coma? scratch

I'm not a good enough gymnast to even begin to figure out what that end/beginning line above means! I just get confused! But it took me a while to figure out "Back to the Future" when it came out too!! LOL

(Side note: Yeah! I just put her on my Twitter. She said she wanted to go bike riding with her hubby. I didn't even realize they'd already gotten married.) Back to clocks!

Now that I confessed ignorance it kind of worked out in my mind a bit. Okay, it starts out with something about "you only live once ... wrong". Maybe the sex was the second-life. Maybe after ... gahh, no, I can't think like that. My head just starts hurting. We need a chess player to work on this problem. I have problems playing checkers!!

From what I read, corresponding to next year's finale. And I can't find a bit of me that regrets liking the ep, haha.

And that bit by HeyLJ on the second clock being in the military format? Booth's format! Booth's bit of the construction of the ep. Hodgins' narration? Bren's.
