Apparently no one is really interested in this fic except few people(hugs)
so I just get this over and done with and post the last chapter

Chapter 12

Disclaimer:Don't own anyone. But if this chapter would have a title it'd be Chasing Cars named after Snow Patrol's song!

The rain had stopped and the air was fresh and cool.

They were sitting on back porch, Brennan curled up in one of the chair , with a blanket wrapped around her. Booth was sitting next to her. Two cups of hot coffee before them on the table.

"I usually don't drink coffee in the middle of the night." she stated.

"Well it's almost morning, it's way past 4 am and the sun is going to rise any minute now." he said and gave her a little smile.

"Thanks Booth." she said from the bottom of her heart.

"You're welcome Bones.You really are." he replied and took a sip of coffee.

"Thank God it's all over now, I thought it never ends." she sighed and continued
"For a moment ...I really thought...that was it. I really thought that...I was going to die."

"I know how it feels Bones. I do." he placed his hand over hers.

"I'm sorry Booth, that you had to kill someone. I know how you hate it."

"I did what I had to do. Otherwise I would have lost you and I rather live with knowing I got the bad guy than knowing I lost you for the bad guy."

Just after he'd shot Loup Garou the police arrived. Booth took Brennan to the hospital where they casketed her left arm and made sure there was no other injuries.

Then they decided to settle down on the back porch and as she didn't felt like being alone ,Booth gladly agreed to stay with her.

It turned out that Loup Garou was killing women because they resembled his mother who had left him on the street. Maple syrup was for covering the tracks and as it turned out the first victim was his own mother who was killed about a half a year ago. Case closed but still they didn't feel satisfaction after solving the case.

The sky on the horizon was changing from dark blue to beautiful wrappings of orange and pink.

"So now what? Going to buy a new house?" Booth asked.

"No. I think I'm going keep this one. I love this place. But of course I'm going to redecorate whole place and change a bedroom."

"I could help. You know people say I'm good in redecoration, especially painting walls. Besides it's summer. After solving cases we could come and paint the walls. Sweets would say its a good theraphy." he wiggled his eyebrows.

She chuckled. "I'll consider that."

Silence once again fell between them but it was a comfortable silence full of hope and understanding.

First sun rays touched the sky.

"Look at us now," Booth broke the silence."Few hours ago you were fighting for your life and I thought I was going to lose you forever.But now here we are, drinking coffee and watching sunrise. Time matters." he said matter of factly.

She looked into her eyes and nodded "Time matters."

First time in her life she could define what she saw in his eyes.

She smiled , then turned her eyes towards the orange-red sky where sun was crawling out one ray at the time.

A new day had begun.
