Loup Garou (Bonesfic,angst,humour etc etc)
Fictional Bones story. Case has no connection to Fox's Bones plot whatsoever. Case is made up by me and all the similarities are unintentional. Reviews are LOVE!
Disclaimer : I don't own anyone, except the gardener Paulo ...and Loup Garou belongs to Patricia Cornwell.
The case have no connection with Bones plot whatsoever, I only borrowed the characters!
Chapter 1
Brennan took another sip of her morning coffee and turned the page of the newspaper she was reading.
How good it felt to be at home. It was even better then being at the lab, which she considered as her second favourite place.
She was very concentrated on one article about young people not wanting to study forensic anthropology in universities any more, when her thoughts were interrupted by her mobile phone.
Instinctively she reached for the phone and answered the call "Brennan!"
"Hey Bones! It's me!" A happy voice replied. No need for introduction, she knew it was Booth.
"Hi Booth. Any particular reason for interrupting my morning coffee?"
"Wooooh...take it easy, I just woke up too. You don't have to be so harsh!" Booth said defensively
"What? I wasn't...you just woke up? It's half past eleven Booth."
"Yeah right, I forgot you never sleep, like Chuck Norris."
Brennan frowned. "I don't know what that means, Booth! "
Booth chuckled. "Never mind, never mind. Actually, I'm calling you because we have a new case. I'll tell ya in ten minutes, then I'll be at your place. Be ready!" He hung up, leaving Brennan in utter confusion.
"Ten minutes? Ten minutes!" She whispered, quickly drank the last of her coffee and ran to the bedroom.
She had ten minutes to get ready. Quickly she piled up all the anthropology journals that were left on her bedroom floor from the night before. She had been looking for one article. And then she ran to the shower
BBB
Booth stood in front of Brennan's house. He'd never been inside of this house before.
True, they had spent many hours in her old apartment but after that crazy serial killer broke in and tried to kill her she wanted to buy a new house.
He didn't blame her. He knew that as much as she needed company, she also needed privacy.
He opened the gate and walked down the little path, which lead to the front door.
He noticed that there were even flowerbeds in the yard, and they were taken really good care of .
Did she have a gardener? Or a hidden talent for gardening?
He knocked on the white door. Nothing happened. He knocked again. A worried look appeared on his face.
What if something has happened? Gently he pushed the door handle and peaked in.
Seemed that security system had been turned off because still nothing happened.
Slowly he pulled out his gun and closed door behind him.
The house was very nice. It had only one floor but the living room and kitchen were very spacey and nice. There was a little hallway, which supposedly took to the bedroom.
He walked quietly trough the living room.
And then he heard something that made him chuckle.
Brennan was singing under shower.
"But I know
If you keep comin’ back for more
Then I’ll keep on tryin’
Keep on tryin’..."
He put the gun away, grabbed an apple from the fruit basked on the kitchen counter and walked to her bedroom at the end of the hallway.
First thing he saw was a huge pile of anthropology journals lying on the floor. He propped into the cream-colored armchair and grabbed a journal. After few seconds it didn't seem to interest him anymore so he tossed it back to the pile.
"Now there’s only one thing
For me to do, that’s to
To get home to you..."
He noticed books on the little nightstand next to her bed. First one was 800 pages of "The history of anthropology", under what lied books like "How to deal with difficult partner" and "How to tell good jokes" Booth chuckled and put the books back as they were.
Singing stopped, water was turned off and pretty soon a hair dryer was turned on.
Both sit back to the armchair thinking that the apple was very good and looking around.
Room wasn't very big but it certainly was comfy. Heliotrope coloured curtains, same colour bedspread and few pillows. White wallpaper with little ornaments here and there. Cream-colored armchairs and chest of drawers.
Room looked very girly and un-Brennan-like.
Luckily the hair dryer was turned off in few minutes and bathroom door opened.
Brennan stepped out with her bathrobe on still humming "Keep on trying"
She was very startled when she was Booth sitting there waiting for her.
"Booth! What are you doing here?"
"Well...I knocked and you didn't answer so I thought maybe you'd lapsed into coma or something and I thought I'd better check out myself. Luckily everything was alright and you were just singing under shower.” He gave her charm-boy smile
"Booth. You can't just barge in to other people's bedrooms. And that apple isn't organic and it's unwashed." She said pointing to an apple Booth was taking a bite of.
He instantly stopped chewing and threw the rest of an apple to garbage bin.
"But why wasn't your security system on? Huh? I could have been any random serial killer." Booth asked pointing a finger at Brennan who was combing her hair.
"But you were not. Now if you'd excuse me I need to change clothes." She said glancing him from the mirror.
"Okay I'll wait in the living room." Booth said and left the room closing door behind him.
Booth sat on the couch and put his feet on the coffee table. He noticed that huge CD collection was alphabetically ordered as the books on the other side of the wall.
It was too quiet there, he wanted some music.
He found his own CD which was labelled under favourites. It was Foreigner.
Probably left it at her place when he got blown up by her fridge
He remember it well. He'd saved her from crazy serial killer who scarped victim's eyes out with keys and then fed them to hungry dogs.
He'd got there just in time. And like many many times before he'd just been lucky.
But what if one day he won't be so lucky? What if one day they'll end up in the situation absolutely impossible to get out from?
He took Frank Sinatra's CD and put it in the CD player. "You make me feel so young" started to play.
He fell back to the couch and closed is eyes.
He had slept too little last night trying to work trough the papers he needed to fill.
Bedroom door opened and she stepped out in the usual Brennan-clothes.
"Ready to go?" Booth asked brushing hands against each other and jumped up.
Brennan nodded, took her jacket, phone and bag and they headed out.
Gardener was working in the front yard.
"Good morning Paulo! I'm about to leave and I was wondering how long does it take for you to finish as I want to put security system on?"
"You have a gardener called Paulo?" Booth whispered.
Brennan gave him a kick against his arm.
"What was that for?" he complained.
"For asking too many questions."
"I'm almost ready Miss. Just have to take tools back to garage." Paulo said waving with a rake.
"Okay let's go then."
They walked down the stoned path that took them on the other side of the house.
There was garage built from stone.
Brennan opened the door and walked to the security panel leaving Booth standing with his mouth opened.
"Geez Bones. Where the hell did you get that baby!?" He ask in utter amazement pointing to the brand new Porsche 911 GT2.
"I bought it Booth," said Brennan and typed in security code . Paulo put the tools away and left to come back in few days.
Booth didn't even dare to touch such pretty car.
"Promise me that you'll take me for a ride," Booth begged
Brennan tried to held smile back.
"Maybe I will ...some day. Let's go now."

Chapter 2
Disclaimer: Still don't own anybody . I checked...
Booth's car stopped in front of the house.
The house that looked like million other houses in whole country.
Nothing spectacular. White picket fence, flowerbeds, little garage, backyard ... usual stuff.
They stepped out of the car.
"Come on Bones! The present is inside."
She tossed him a look, and pulled rubber gloves out of her pocket.
They went inside.
Hallway was quite small, with walls covered flowery wallpaper. The shoes on the wooden floor were placed very neatly next to each other.
They walked past the living room. Again seemed that every item had it's own place. Even magazines on the table were placed exactly on top of each other.
"Wow! That's one hell of a neat home ,don't you think? Mine compared to this is like a ..."
Bones interrupted him . "Well you don't really love to clean either. Do you?"
"Well I do but I just don't have time to do that."
"Yeah just like that time when I found at least a year old pizza under your couch. That was seriously sickening.Who owns the house?"
"Mary Owens. Age 32. Single. Supposedly on a vacation on Hawaii right now. The neighbor ,who had a duty to water the flowers , found the body."
"So the victim is not Owens?"
"You, tell me that. We' re trying to contact her but 'till now ,no response."
"So where's the victim?"
"Upstairs, in bedroom."
"You smell that?" Bones asked when they walked up the stairs.
"Sugar? Smells like candy anyway." Booth shrugged
"Maple syrup. The first floor smells like maple syrup."
"Yum! A first crime scene where doesn't stink!" Booth clapped his hands.
"Yeah, don't you think it's odd?"
"Why? I think it's wonderful...oh right..body means smell, smell means death."
They walked through the long corridor which lead to bedroom. The door was open.
They stepped into the room.
Very decomposed body was laying on the bed, in a position of sleeping. Brennan pulled rubber gloves on and removed the blanket.
" Female. Approximately at the age of 30-40." She inspected the body.
"No obvious injuries to skeletal system. Probably strangulation. Let's see." Silence.
" Yes, she was strangled to death. You see hyoid is broken. Strangulation most often affect the hyoid, a small bone in front of the throat. And in this case it's broken. 'Could be the cause of the death, but first we have to find out if it was postmortem injury or not. It's weird that here still smells like maple-syrup. I think that the body was placed here not very long ago. Maybe few hours. Let it all send to Jeffersonian, whole bed I mean."
She rose and pulled the gloves off.
" Gonna take me back to the lab?"
"Yes ma'am!" Booth said. "You and the whole shebang."

Chapter 3
Disclaimer: Still don't own anybody but I wished it for Christmas next year!
Booth was slowly moving a spoon in his coffee cup, avoiding disturbing Brennan who was filling in some papers.
"Hey Bones? Can I disturb you?"
Brennan rose her eyes from the papers. "No!"
"Okay then."
Brennan sighed: "Why do you even ask me that if you see I am working. Doesn't make sense."
Booth gave her his famous charm-boy-smile and chuckled " You see I fulfilled my goal!"
Brennan gave him a world class eye roll "Booth I don't have time for playing those games of yours! Are the remains here already?" She asked impatiently.
"Not yet Bones...be patient. Your remains will be brought any minute and then you can play with them as much as you want. In the meanwhile we could have lunch."
"Fine! Let's have a lunch."
Booth finished up his coffee ,Brennan grabbed her jacket and purse and they were gone...
Five hours and lunch and a set of remains later Temperance Brennan had finished studying the skeleton.
Her back was achy from kneeling and she felt her stomach growling.
She pulled off rubber gloves and sighed. In last few hours she'd spent in the morgue she hadn't found out much. There were no other abnormalities than the fractured hyoid.
Other than that everything was normal. Indeed she'd found a very long white hair from the bed, which supposedly belonged to some kind of animal but that was all.
She glanced at the clock. It was almost six o'clock.
Moving towards her office she met Angela.
"Hey sweetie! What's up?" Her best friend always greeted her that way.
"Just finished with the bedroom victim. Could you make facial deconstruction and find out who she is?"
" Yeah, sure. So where's Booth?" Angela asked mischievous look on her face.
Brennan raised an eyebrow. "I don't know ,we separated at the diner during..."
"You had lunch together?"
"Yes ,Ange. It was just a lunch but you probably think we had sex in the toilet or something."
"So did you?" Angela asked grinning.
"No! Just drop it okay!?"
"Sorry. You're so touchy lately."
"I'm sorry I am just tired... and... uh..never mind"
Angela's grin died on her lips. "Never mind what?"
"It's just...well...uh...Sully called few days ago."Angela's eyes widened.
"And why do I found out now?
"Sorry Ange I should have told you but I was so confused and didn't know how to react. Truth is that it took me some time to sink in."
"So what did he want?"
"He said...that he's coming back in few weeks..." Brennan took a deep breath.
"And you're no happy because?"
" Because I don't know if I am happy or not. I should be but for some reason I'm not. And I feel guilty."
"Sweetie you're not the one who should be guilty. He left you, remember?"
Brennan nodded and once again she felt how grateful she was to have Angela as her best friend.
"Go home sweetie, sleep and cook or read those journals of anthropology or whatever relaxes you and deal with Sully-problem when he's here.Okay?"
"Okay Ange. Thanks for the advice."
"That's what the friends are for sweetie...

Re: Loup Garou (Bonesfic, angst, humour etc etc)
No reviews?
Chapter 4
Disclaimer: Still don't own anybody but if I would Bones would have jumped Booth long time ago
Special Agent Seeley Booth was tired. He had had a rough day full of bickering with her partner, murders, and finally paperwork. He hated paperwork.
How often he had wished that he'd have a assistant or somebody especially chosen for doing paperwork so he could get rid of all those applications and letters?
Waste of time and waste of paper. He smiled to himself thinking what his partner would say now about papers, cutting down trees and global warming. Bones,Bones,Bones...
He had to admit that their partnership was weird. Weird in the most weirdest way. They could argue and bicker for hours. And even though they both came from extremely different worlds they were somehow similar and somehow they found a way to connect with each other.
How many times they'd felt like strangling each other? How many time he'd be thankful for her brain? How many times they'd shared moments that he'd never shared with anyone before? Not even with Rebecca, with the mother of his son.
And even though Bones was very often difficult to deal with he knew that she had a big heart and he could trust his life in her hands.
Did she feel the same?
Cell phone buzzing.
"Booth." he said answering to the call.
"Hey! It's me Brennan." He heard familiar voice.
"I just wanted to let you know that the hair I found from the murder scene does not belong to the animal. It belongs to human."
"Really?"
"Yeah, zach just call me and said that it's impossible to take DNA from those hair , even mitochondrial. So basically we've got nothing."
"Uh...well that sucks...but how could those hair belong to human then?"
"Well there's a disease, hypertrichosis or werewolf syndrome a medical term referring to a condition of excessive body hair. Werewolf syndrome comes from the characteristics of a mythological werewolf of which the person is completely covered in hair or fur. It can be generalized, symmetrically affecting most of the torso and limbs, or localized, affecting an area of skin. The hair does not usually cover the eye area, hands or the feet.It may be mild or severe. In most cases, the term is used to refer to an above-average amount of normal body hair that is unwanted and is an aspect of human variability."
"Ookay, thanks for the lecture Bones. And how rare this hypertrichosis is? Maybe we can narrow it down that way.
"
"Although the statistic has been cited that this only occurs for 1 out of 10 billion people, 19 people alive today have hypertrichosis, out of 6.5 billion people in the world, makes for an average of 1 in 340 million.
So there's not many of them but those 19 are only discovered cases. Who knows how many there are in the world actually?"
"So basically we still have nothing, except we already know that there's a very hairy murderer walking around among the normal people. Maybe we could just ask from random people if they know someone very hairy or something" Booth asked, already getting annoyed with this phone call that only brought bad news.
"Booth, Zach tries to find out what's with the maple syrup and I personally think that that's the key to our murderer."
"Okay then,"Booth sighed "Anything else?"
"No. Good night!" Brennan said apparently annoyed too.
"Sorry Bones. I didn't mean to snap at you."
"It's okay get some sleep.I'll see you tomorrow."
She clicked off.
Turned out that Booth's already crappy night got even crappier. Now there was guilt added to all the other feelings.
He shouldn't have been so harsh on her. Her intentions were good after all.
He sighed, turned off the lights in living room and decided to do what Bones suggested to do.
He needed to get some sleep.

Chapter 5
Disclaimer: In reality still don't own anybody..all of the belong to Fox
but in my head...
Monday.She hated Mondays.
She really thought that Mondays were the worst days in the week.
Her work experience said that on Monday's morgue was full of bodies waiting to be examined and identified.
Weekend gettaways, family trips, parties, alcohole, drugs , car accidents , fires etc. Most of them took place during weekends.
But every rule had it's exceptions of course.
A phone call had waked her up around 6. It had been Booth, letting her know that they had another victim. What a nice way to start a day!
She was on her way to the crime scene, grumpy and tired, ready to hit anyone who annoyed her today.
It was one of those
don't-speak-to-me-today-or-I'll-hit-you-days.
She pulled her car in front of the little house and stepped out into the bright sunlight.
Booth was standing near the doorway waiting for her.
"Hello Bones! How was your night?"
"Bad! Where's the victim?"
" Whohoo...someone is not friendly today. Do I need to put on my bullet-proof vest?"
Brennan rolled her eyes and walked right past him, pulling on rubber gloves.
She stepped into the house.
First thing she noticed was that air was heavy from the smell of maple syrup.
"Woah! That smell again. If it's the same guy ...then...where's the bedroom?" Booth wondered through the hallway.
"Booth, I think bedroom is here..." Brennan pointed to
one of the doors on the left side of hallway.
They entered the room.
On the bed there was lying a body.In the sleeping position.
Eyes staring blankly into the distance.
Brennan turned her back and faced Booth
"Call Cam...tell her that she's gotta work to do."
After Cam had taken the body to the lab , examined it and cleaned the bones, it was Brennan's time to step in.
Again she found out that the victim was probably strangled to death. The pattern was the same.
Booth came in to the lab and tossed a file onto the counter.
"Mary Owens."
"The Mary Owens?" Brennan asked eyes wide with surprise.
"Uhuh. The same Owens to whose house the first body was dumped few days ago."
"So we have a serial killer in our hands. Who owns the house?"
"Damara Leatherbridge. Age 35. Right now on a vacation to North Carolina."
"You need to contact her.You have to warn her. She's in great danger Booth!"
"I'll see what i can do. Any news from Zach?"
"Not yet, but he's working on the maple syrup, the second body was covered with it too."
"Damn. I gotta run now. see ya later Bones. And call me if you find out anything."
Brennan nodded and Booth hurried off.
Brennan sighed thinking how big danger that woman was in. Was she aware? Had the murderer already got her?
So many questions needed to be answered. She concentrated back to her work because she was the one who needed to find the answers.

Chapter 6
Disclaimer: And all I hear is bla-bla-bla aka same as before ...
And if that chapter would have a title it would be Anchor
Weeks flew by and DC welcomed usual July heat when the temperature hit 35,2 C.
People hid into their houses and only lurked out when they needed to recharge their fridges with ice-cream or water supplies.
Brennan was sitting on her back porch in the comfy chair, books and papers piled up on the table, scribbling down some notes.
There had been no sign about mystery-maple-syrup-hairy-murderer. Luckily Booth had managed to contact Leathebridge in time and warn her.
The vacation period had started and Booth had finally an opportunity to spend some time with his son while Brennan stayed home and spend her time researching , reading books, cooking and enjoying the summer..
Yet she hadn't forgotten Sully's call and every day welcomed her with that knowledge. She tried to push those thought aside but it was hard especially because she had too much free time to think things through.
She sighed , put paper and pen down , and looked into the sky which was totally cloudless. The air was still heavy from heat, it felt like it could be cut with a knife. Even birds had stopped chirping and were probably hiding somewhere. She leaned back and closed her eyes...
"Temperance? Tempe?" She heard someone calling her. "Tempe? Wake up!" Her eyes flew open as she recognized the voice.
Sully!
He was standing there in front of her in the sun s, skin tanned and eyes glistening.
"Sully! What are you doing here?" Brennan was slightly confused, squinting her eyes in the bright sunlight.
"I called you. I told you I'd come back."
"Uh...yeah...right..."
"Aren't you happy to see me?" Sully asked spreading his hands.
" I am...it's just...I thought you'd call or something...I wasn't really expecting anybody today."
" I understand." Sully grabbed a chair and sat next to her, taking her hands.
"I'm back now Tempe. We can go on where we left off."
"Huh? We can?" Brennan asked raising her eyebrows.
"Yes! Isn't it amazing?" Sully seemed excited as a kid of Christmas morning. Brennan suddenly felt urge to throw up.
"No!" She said firmly
"No ,what?" Sully was obviously confused.
"It's not amazing because it's not going to work out. Not anymore." She studied his face.
His smile died on his lips, eyes turned almost black and jaw muscles tightened.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
She shivered hearing his ice-cold voice even if there was almost 36 degrees outside.
"You know what I mean... I mean it's over. We're not gonna go on where we left off. You left and that was it. I just don't have feelings for you anymore.I'm sorry."
She breathe out.
His nostrils flared but other than that the look on his face didn't change.
The ice-cold silence seemed to last like forever. Finally he broke it.
"So you're dumping me?"
"The way I see it, there's not much to dump. Sully you left me, you drove away with your boat and I stayed here. Alone again."
"But I asked you to come with me" He interrupted.
"I couldn't leave my friends, work and partner here. They need me."
"Oh yes. " Sully let out an evil laugh. "I forgot about your partner!"
Brennan gave him clueless look.
"You couldn't leave together with me cause that would have meant you should have left Booth, right? Gosh, how stupid and blind I was!"
Brennan felt anger floating in her stomach. "What? No! He was only one of the reasons why I had to stay. And I'm even not sure why I have to justify myself now, you were the one who walked away fro me."
"Ahh Tempe stop playing that victim part. You suck at it!!"
Brennan forced her voice calm and said "The only one playing victim here is you. And I'm really sorry if I hurt your big male ego. Try to live with it okay!? And now I'd appreciate if you could leave me alone now."
His jaw muscles twitched as he was staring right into her eyes. She didn't even blink.
"Fine. Whatever. I'll go" He pointed at her with the finger " But mark my words. You'll never be happy because you have no feelings Temperance Brennan. You're cold. Cold as freaking ice-queen on your freaking throne! Remember that!" Then he turned around and walked away not looking back.
Brennan closed her eyes and took a deep breath in.
She did feel somehow relieved but even though her rational side told her not to take Sully's word seriously they had cut her heart like a knife.
She cursed herself for ever starting that relationship and felt tears falling from her eyes. That's why she never wanted to get too close, because every time she got too close someone would go and break her heart.
"Hey Bones!" She basically jumped out the chair. "Oh I didn't mean to scare you!" Booths voice recalled.
Quickly she wiped tears off her cheeks"What's the thing with men just walking into my yard today?"
Booth tossed a bag of bagels onto the table and sinked into the chair wearing sweatshirt and shorts.
"Just saw Sully he wasn't quite happy to see me...what...? Have you been crying? What did he do?" Booth into he eyes.
She couldn't turn her eyes away. There was no point anyway. He'd seen her crying.
"I'm gonna kill that bastard. Tell me Bones what did he do?Did he hurt you?"
"Nothing.I'm fine Booth, honestly. We just..."She swallowed. "We just broke up ...that's all."
"Oh!" Was that relief in his voice? Brennan wondered.
"I'm sorry Bones. I'm not sure what I am suppose to say now." He murmured.
"Don't say anything. Just sit with me for a while okay?"
He nodded and offered her a bagel.
"There's no better cure for broken hear as sugar. My mum used to say that." Booth said and gave her a charm-smile.
She smiled. He really was one of a kind.
I stand with a blank expression now
and I can't believe myself
will someone tell me how
did I get here
I am walking
changing slowly
I am chasing
climbing closer
I know that I'll never be alone
you will never let me go
you are my anchor
hold my hand
while I'm sinking in the sand
no one else could understand
you are my anchor
it seems that I lost track of time
and I can't believe my mind
would you save me if
I reached out to you
I'm WAITING, watching, standing
I am reaching
climbing closer
I know that I'll never be alone
you will never let me go
you are my anchor
hold my hand
while I'm sinking in the sand

Re: Loup Garou (Bonesfic, angst, humour etc etc)
Chapter 7
Disclaimer:Still don't own anybody
When Brennan walked into her office the next day she found a file folder from her desk. She had been waiting this file for weeks. There was a yellow Post-it label on the cover .
"She was in witness protection, sorry for delay.
Booth"
She smiled thinking of him. Last night after Sully had taken off he had been there for her as a partner , as a friend. And she was grateful for that.
Taking a seat behind the table she opened the folder.
Name: Amy Lester
Age: 34
Date of birth: 17 of August 1973.
Marital status: Single
Brennan sighed leaning back , that fit the first victims age description perfectly. She looked at the Amy's photo. Beautiful ,young woman , smiling to the camera, and she made a promise to catch the bastard who killed her.
Few hours later
"Dr. Brennan?" Zach called while she was walking down the Jeffersonian hallway.
"Yes, Zach?"
"I found out something rather fascinating, I want you to come and look at this."
Without sayng a word Brennan followed Zack to the lab.
After squinting into the microscope for few seconds she knew what it was about.
"So our murderer has MSUD as well as hypertrichosis that's a very uncommon combination of ilnesses." She said thoughtfully
"Yes Dr.Brennan but MSUD itself isn't very uncommon as statistic say it affects 1 in 185 000 infants worldwide. So that's not gonna help us much."
"It sure explains the maple syrup use on bodies. He just tried to cover the tracks.Good job!." She patted him on the shoulder like she always did when she was happy with his findings.
Back in her office she found that Booth had left 11 unanswered calls and 1 message saying: "Call me.Important." to her cell.
She speed-dialed him and he picked up after first call.
"Hey Bones.Let's meet in the Royal Diner in about 15 minutes.I need to see you as quickly as possible." He seemed agitated and was talking in the speed of light.
"What happened..." She started to ask but Booth interrupted her. "See you there." and clicked off leaving her in utter confusion.
Entering the diner she saw Booth sitting behind their "usual" table near the window. She greeted him and ordered coffee, impatiently wishing he would tell her what this was about.
Finally his face turned serious and he opened his mouth."Listen Bones.I know it might come to you as a shock but I also know that you need to know the truth."
Shivers ran up from her spine. "Just tell me, you're making me nervous."
He sighed deeply and continued. "We found another body. Same pattern, same maple syrup."
"Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about that maple..." she started but Booth interrupted her.
"Listen to me Bones. Don't interrupt, just listen. The victim was found from your house."
Brennan started at him, and couldn't believe what he had just said, eyes wide in surprise and shock.
"My house?" she repeated wishing that she had misheard something.
"Yes Bones. That's why I needed to see you, that was the thing I wanted to tell you." he paused thinking how to serve it all.
"The victim was positively identified as Damara Leatherbridge. "
She couldn't believe it." Booth I asked you to watch her, I asked you to warn her. What happened?"
"I did warn Her Bones and also there's a police car checking after every half an hour near her house. I suppose she came home from vacation and then he caught her.I did everything I could do to but I just can't lock her up somewhere until we get that creepy Loupy."
Brennan's mind was racing."But if Amy Lester was found from Mary Owen's bed, Owens was found from Leatherbridge's bed, and Leatherbridge from my bed...then...I'm the next one."
"No Bones, you're not the next one. I'll look after you.I can assure you he won't catch you.I'll lock you up if needed." He seemed like he really meant what he was saying from the bottom of his heart. She fished a cell from her pocket and started dialing Angela's phone number.
"What are you doing?" Booth asked taking a sip of coffee.
"Calling Ange and telling I'll stay over at her place." She said.
"What? No! Put that away!" He grabbed a phone from her hand.
She was starting to get pissed.
"What did you do that for! Give it back! Or I'll kick your ass, you know I can do it.!" She threatened
"I sure as hell do, but I'm not giving you a phone cause you're staying with me." he smiled.
"What? No! You mean at your place? No way!" She argued.
"Yes way. You'll stay with me until the creepy-Loupy is caught and I'll handcuff you if you try to escape."
"Try me." She knew he was pushing her buttons.
"Please Bones. Be reasonable. drink up you coffee and lets go pick up some of your stuff. I just want you to be safe.Is it too much to ask?"
She sighed deeply. "I guess I don't have much choice , do I?"
He grinned at her, happy that he had won this argument.
"Come on drink up now.And let's hit the road baby!"
She shot him a look that could have killed. "You do know that you're picking a fight?" She asked.
Booth's face went puppy dog innocent "Man I've been hanging way too much around Hodgins."

I have no idea if people are reading my story or not cause some of the few reviewers have also disappeared but it's okay I'll continue posting 'till the end:)
Chapter 8
Disclaimer:I actually do own somebody...and that's Kitty-Bones
She had always been private and privacy was something she needed after long days at work. She loved her work but more than that she loved to come home after the day was done.
But now it all had been ruined. Her home was turned into a museum where she was like a visitor. Investigators walking in and out, dusting for fingerprints, turning every corner upside down. First time she felt what it's like to be under investigation. Nothing remained private nothing remained sacred.
She stepped into her bedroom which had been her sanctuary next to her second favorite place balcony. The bed was gone. Removed as well as the carpet. They had searched through every single corner in her house, every closet every pocket.
Suddenly she felt homeless again. As she was allowed to take some things with her she quickly packed all of her necessary stuff feeling that she would suffocate if she stayed too long.
"Done. We can go now!" she said to Booth who was standing in the doorway.
"I'm sorry Bones." he tried to comfort her with those words but she just grabbed her suitcase and walked past him without even looking at him.
Things you can replace but the feelings that come with certain objects you can't.
They drove in silence, Booth concentrating on the traffic, Brennan staring out of the window, obviously not wanting to talk.
He knew she was angry but he also knew it was best to let her calm down rather that fall into the argument with her now.His father always said that it's not good to fall into argument with women cause they'd win in one way or another.
"I'm not angry if that's what you're thinking." she broke the silence.
"Of course you're not." he decided to go with agreeing-flow.
"Now you're agreeing cause you think it's better to not argue with me when I'm angry." she said matter-of-factly still staring out of the window.
"You know what I am not gonna discuss this with you when you're pissed, that's all." he explained feeling she had pushed him into the corner again.
"See, you think I am angry ..so why didn't you just say so."
"Okay Bones, whatever. I know they intruded your private place. I know you don't like it and I know how much do you need privacy but for Godness sake don't take it out on me." Now he was starting to get pissed too.Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to host her in his apartment.
She didn't say anything ,still blankly staring out of the window.
"Besides you and I are gonna live together. That means you have to keep good feelings with your host. Okay?"
"If it was my call..." she started but again he interrupted her
"Well it wasn't your call. It was mine and I made a decision in order to keep you safe. Deal with it." he bunched his jaw muscles and continued.
"By the way I have a cat so I hope you're not allergic."
Now for the first time during at least 20 minutes she turned her eyes to him."You have a what?" she ask amusingly.
"A cat!You know little, cute, four paws, does meow." he explained
"Booth I know what a cat is. I just never figured..."
"What? That I could have a pet? Well thanks a lot Bones."
"Sorry if I offended you. Where did you get it?" She was getting curious about the whole cat-thing.
"Not it! She.Female.A girl.Parker wanted to have one and as Rebecca and Captain fantastic didn't want one he brought it to me."
All she said was."Mmmmm."
"What mmm?" he asked glancing at her way. Brennan looked rather amused.
"Nothing. Does she have a name?"
"Of course.Uhm...she's called...Bones."
Brennan burst out laughing.
"What? Why are you laughing?" Booth asked in confusion. It took a while when she was able to talk again.
Still giggling she noted.
"Well if Sweets was here he'd tell you about impersonating someone..." and then she lapsed back into the giggles.
"Well he isn't here. So drop it." He snapped
"She tried to gather herself. "No need to be angry. In fact I'm kind of flattered." and then the giggles got her again.
No matter how much Seeley Booth enjoyed hearing his partner laughing he didn't enjoy the situation at all.
He bunched his jaw muscles thinking how hard those few weeks ahead will be and pulled on the driveway.

Re: Loup Garou (Bonesfic, angst, humour etc etc)
Chapter 9
Disclaimer:This chapter is dedicated to my favorite Kitty!(she knows)Who is one of the most wonderful people I know. She's talented beautiful, smart and THE BEST friend anyone could ask.I love you to bits and pieces.3 Still don't own anybody except kitty-Bones.
He unlocked the door and they stepped into nice apartment. Little hallway led to living room which an open kitchen and another hallway led to bedroom, bathroom , guest room. Guest room was situated just opposite bedroom. Not too tiny not too spacey.
"So where's your cat?"Brennan asked as soon as they stepped into living room.
"She's gotta be somewhere. Bones? Where are you? Daddy is home!" he called. Brennan chuckled, this whole situtation amused her so much.
"Daddy?" she asked trying to push down the urge to giggle.
"Yeah daddy. She's little just got 3 months old.And I'm her daddy. You have a problem with it?" Booth was so touchy lately.
"No not at all. It's kind of cute."
As soon as she'd taken seat at the sofa a little kitten ran up to her.
"Hey Booth I think i found her. Or she found me in fact." she stated and looked at the little kitten ,who indeed was very adorable.
"Here you are, you little naughty-piddy-diddy..." he stopped when she saw the look on Brennan's face who was just about to laugh.
"What's so amusing Bones?" Kitten moved her ears.
"You, doing the baby-talk to a kitten.I find it rather amusing."
"Hahaa..." he "Really funny indeed." He was being sarcastic.
He patted a kitten few times and then handed her over to Brennan." Here hold her.I'll go and check if the guest
room is ready for you."
And so he took off, leaving Brennan with little gray kitten who was already chewing her hair.
"Hey stop that!" she said to kitty-Bones. "Where are your toys, you must have some." Looking around in the room she found a feather stick and started to entertain kitty-Bones with it.
She had always felt much better in company of animals that people. Animals were sincere, never hypocritical, they never lied, never broke your heart.
Kitty-Bones tried to catch the feather with her little paws.
"Awww...well look at this. You two are adorable together." Booth stated returning from guest room."And the room is ready for you."
Brennan rose from the sofa, grabbed her suitcase and went to the guest room , leaving kitty-Bones and "daddy" playing in the living room.
Dinner was over. He had cooked ,she was supposed to put dishes in the dishwasher. She did as they agreed.
Now she was sitting in front of the TV, watching National Geographic Channel, kitty-Bones sleeping on her lap.Booth was taking a shower.
After ten minutes Brennan had found herself gently stroking kitten's soft fur.She was getting sleepy, it had been a long day. She was just about to switch the channel when Booth walked in, with only a towel around his waist. He grabbed a beer from fridge and took a seat next to Brennan who was pretending to watch the show, eyes glued to the screen as something very distracting was sitting next to her.
"Interesting?" he asked.
"Uhuh."she nodded."You always walk around half naked when you're home?"
"Yes, why you ask?"he took another sip of beer.
"Just. You know. Curious." During the whole conversation she kept her eyes strictly on the TV screen.
"Just curious?" he raised playfully an eyebrow.
"Yes, I mean you have quite clear view from all of the windows, especially in the dark and lights on.Someone walking past will rose their eyes and voila!
"Why are you worried about this all of the sudden?"
"Just because..." she started really didn't know how to explain.
"Just because what?Damn, look at me!" He blurted.
In a second her eyes were on him, trailing his body.Something flip-flopped in Brennan's gut. Finally her eyes met him.
"Just because what?" he repeated his question.
She looked completely clueless "Excuse me?" she asked in confusion and then she got it. "Uh yes, because what if an older lady walks by with her dog, it may cause a stroke or heart attack you know.It has happened before."
"Right! And what are the odds that old woman walks by with her dog in the middle of the night?"
"I'm just stating a fact" she tried to sound usual.
He desicded to drop it.
"You like your room?" He asked after few minutes of silence.
"It's nice.Thank you for that."she smiled
"You're welcome Bones!" Kitten rose her head.
"Whohooo ehee...Look at that...first time she reacts to her name! Took a while" Booth cheered.
Brennan just smiled thinking how long it took for her to get used to her nickname.
For few minutes they both concentrated on kitten who curled up again and close her tiny eyes.
"I think I'm going to crash."Booth said and rose from the sofa."Good night!"
"Good night,Booth!" she replied and turned her eyes back to TV screen.
Ten minutes later she felt really sleepy and curled up on the sofa, with a kitty-Bones by her side.
When Booth came to check on her few hours later, he found them both sleeping on the sofa. He smiled, at that sight, turned the lights and TV off.Covering his two favorite girls with a blanket he placed a gentle kiss on Brennan's hair and lurked back into his bedroom.

Chapter 10
Still no reviews
Disclaimer:Don't own anybody...yeah still don't except the kitty-Bones of course
Next morning Brennan woke as the smell of coffee touched her nostrils. She opened her eyes and saw Booth sitting behind the kitchen counter, drinking coffee and reading newspaper.
"Morning", he said , without raising his eyes and took another sip of coffee.
"Morning" Brennan replied and yawned.
"Coffee is ready, " Booth said and pointed at the machine.
She rose from the sofa and stretched her achy muscles.
Kitty-Bones was wrestling on the carpet with a piece of paper but as soon as Brennan started walking she was right there behind her.
Booth chuckled . "Now she thinks you're her mama."
Brennan poured herself a coffee and shot Booth don't -you-dare look. "You're daddy and I'm mama? I don't think so!"
Silence.
"You know I actually wanted to tell you yesterday about a new clue Zach found." Brennan broke the silence.
Booth turned to her "I'll listen."
Brenna took a sip of coffee. "Well it turns out that murderer has MSUD."
"And that is...?"
"Maple syrup disease in other words an autosomal recessive metabolic disorder affecting branched-chain amino acids. "
"So genetic condition?"
"Exactly. Characterized in an infant by the presence of sweet-smelling urine, with an odor similar to that of maple syrup, infants with this disease seem healthy at birth but if left untreated suffer severe neurologic damage, and eventually die. From early infancy, symptoms of the condition include poor feeding, vomiting, dehydration, lethargy, hypotonia, seizures, ketoacidosis, and neurological decline.Keeping MSUD under control requires careful monitoring of blood chemistry and involves both a special diet and frequent testing.A diet with minimal levels of the amino acids leucine, isoleucine, and valine must be maintained in order to prevent neurological damage. As these three amino acids are required for proper metabolic function in all people, specialized protein preparations containing substitutes and adjusted levels of the amino acids have been synthesized and tested, allowing MSUD patients to meet normal nutritional requirements without causing harm."
"Okay and how rare is this maple syrup thingy?" Booth asked.
"It affects approximately 1 out of 180,000 infants. Due in part to the founder effect, however, MSUD has a much higher prevalence in children of Amish and Mennonite descent."
Brennan grabbed a newspaper from him.
"Okay does that mean our Loupy is Amish?"
"Not necessarily."
"Why would you even bring it up then." Booth asked in annoying intonation
"I'm just stating the facts."
"Yeah .I should have guessed that.Anyway it's time for me to take you to the lab.I'll pick you up around 6.And you're not allowed to go out!"
Brennan didn't argue. She finished up her coffee and started to get ready.
The days passed there were no sign of Loup Garou whatsoever. And before they knew it, they had been living together for a month.
Also with daily routine ,the problems came up.
She tend to be very annoyed by the fact that he never put the toothpaste's cap back on and left coffee cups and beer bottles everywhere.
Those tiny problems caused tensions and soon they found snapping at each other after every 2 minutes.
Then on one very rainy Sunday night the bomb exploded.
It all started as Brennan brought some student's research papers home to grade them and accidentally left one on the table in the living room. Accidentally Booth threw that away.
"How could you do that?" Brennan asked obviously extremely upset.
"I already apologized. I should have checked ..." Booth defended himself.
Brennan interrupted "Yes you should have!"
"Well excuse me I wasn't the one who left it on the table ."
"Now it's my fault?" Brennan raise her voice.
Booth wondered if he had ever seen her so pissed.
"I wasn't accusing you. It was just a paper anyway why are you so angry?" He asked trying to fix things up.Apparently it didn't work.
"Just a paper? I'll tell ya why I'm angry! Because it was research made by one of my best students. That's why! Have you any idea how long it might have taken her to put it together?" Now she was frantically searching through her papers.
"It couldn't have taken long as it was only one page."Booth stated sarcastically.
She ignored him.
"What am I gonna say to her? Oh sorry one random FBI-guy trashed your work?" She snapped.
"Why you ask me?You're the genius here!" He blurted out, almost as angry as she was.
Brennan dropped the papers.Silence filled the room.Air seemed to be so thick someone could have cut it with a knife.
Then she rose and walked right past him towards the guest room.
"What the hell are you doing now Bones?" he followed her.
Reaching the doorway he saw her tossing clothes into the suitcase.
"What are you doing?" he asked again.
"Leaving! Can't you see?"I'm done.I'm going home." she said her voice shaking.
"Home? You can't go home."
"Yes I can!And I will!" She just continued packing. It took her few minutes finishing up and then she was ready to go.
But Booth was blocking the doorway.
"Let me through!"She demanded looking into his eyes and seeing ...what? Anger?Worry?
They stared at each other without blinking an eye.
Booth's mind was racing. What should he do?Let her go when a crazy serial killer was after her? She'd never forgive him if he'd lock her up.Never. But if he'd let her go now everything that will happen is his fault.
It was his job to protect her.Maybe even from himself.
"Let me through" she repeated. Booth stepped aside and Brennan brushed right past him like a lightning.
He followed her to the living room .She grabbed her papers from the carpet and coat from the hanger.
She was just about to step out of the door when Booth's voice stopped her.
"Please don't go!?" He said quietly. She took a deep breath in and turned around.
"I have to Booth. It doesn't work out.Not in this way.I wish it does, but it doesn't.I'm sorry." And then she just walked out of the door.
Booth grabbed for his cell. He dialed a number and called."It's Booth.Listen to me.Double the check around Dr.Brennan's house.I want a car driving by after every 10 minutes. You hear me?Every 10 minutes." He finished the call and sighed.
Kitty-Bones was pacing the floor and meowing silently.
"He took a deep breath in.
"What are we gonna do with her Bones?"
It took about 20 minutes for Brennan to get home. It was still pouring rain. Stepping out of the cab she noticed a police car passing by.She knew that Booth had doubled the security.
She walked up to the front door and almost slipped on the stairs and falling rain had turned old wooden stairs very wet and slippery.
Booth's plea still echoing in her head she unlocked the door and checked every single corner of the house before she was secure it was indeed empty.
She locked every door and window and turned the security system on. After hot shower and unpacking her things she settled in the living room evidence and file folders scattered on the table, also there was a formaline jar which was used to restore skin or tissue.
There had been three murders. He had managed to get away every time without leaving behind any DNA. No question that he was smart.
Hours passed by and soon she felt her stomach growling.
She was just about to find something to eat when the security alarm went on. Her heart fluttering she ran to the bedroom, grabbed her gun and waited the phone to ring.
The alarm was hammering and hammering...
Finally after few minutes the phone rang she picked up.
"Zone six.Garage door." A man recalled "You want the police?"
"Yes,"She answered and hung up.
Taking a deep breath in keeping her eyes on the security monitor. It took her few seconds to realize that the monitor doesn't start to work unless the policemen ring the doorbell and as she knew very well they never did.So she had no choice but to turn the alarm off and system back on.
Few minutes later there was a knock on the front door.
She rushed through the hallway placing her gun on to the living room table next to the police of evidence.
"Who is it?" she asked just to be sure.
"Police! Ma'am We're here to check why your alarm went on." Letting out the breath of relief she opened the door.
There were two policemen standing on the doorway.
"The garage door" she murmured and asked them to follow her.
The moment they stepped into the garage she knew it wasn't false alarm.
Garage door was opened about 6 inches and if they looked it closer they noticed the signs of breaking in. Soon the burglar-investigation-team was called in and the scene was photographed, finger and footprints were taken.
Twenty minutes later policemen and investigation team were gone.
Before leaving one of the policemen insisted to call 911 if she heard anything else suspicious.
Searching food from the fridge her cell phone buzzed. It was Booth.
"Heard what happened. Are you okay?" he asked in a worried tone.
"Yes.I'm fine." she said and smiled to herself.Always so protective.
"Want me to come over?Just...so ...you know..you shouldn't be alone.I'll bring Thai."
"Okay we need to talk anyway."
"So you're not mad at me any more?" he asked.
"Maybe only a little bit.But nothing so big that Thai couldn't fix."
He chuckled.
"Okay I'll be there in half an hour."he finished.
Brennan sighed and leaned back on the sofa.
The murderer was playing with them.He was driving them on the edge of insanity. But he couldn't win so easily,Brennan said to herself.
There was a sharp knock on the front door.
Booth?Couldn't be! So quickly!
"Police!"a man announced from outside.
"I didn't call for police." Brennan said without opening the door.
"Ma'am we got a call that someone saw a suspicious person walking on your property. Are you okay?"
"Yes I'm fine." She turned the system off and opened the door.
The porch light wasn't working but she already knew who it was.
It took her few seconds, then she realized how big mistake it was.
She inhaled a sweet smell, like the one of a wet dog and her eyes widen in fear.

Re: Loup Garou (Bonesfic, angst, humour etc etc)
Okay this was officially the hardest chapter to write so don't be hard on me
Chapter 11
Disclaimer:Still don't own anybody
He stepped in and kicked the door closed. A scream died in Brennan's throat as she looked at that terrible monster. A disgusting smile appeared on his ugly face .
He reached out a hairy hand , just as if he wanted to touch her cheek, as if he had gentle feelings from her. Half of his face was lower than the other and covered with little white hair, unsymmetrical wild eyes were burning in rage and desire.
Before his hand touched her she pulled away. He stared at her, then pulled off his black coat, she ran.
She knew that she could never stand up to him, he was way too big and strong the fight will be lost in seconds.
Panic drove her back to the living room, the monster following us, making weird sounds which seemed to belong more to an animal rather than to human being. She needed to come up with a plan to save herself, but the only thing she felt was an urge to run as fast as she could.
He chased her around the table and sofa trying to hit her with a lever hammer he'd taken along. She'd no place to run as she had locked all the doors and windows, she was trapped in her own home, together with a monster who tried to hit her with a hammer.
Another circle around the sofa and table, he tried to hit her again but missed and broke a little lamp. She managed to grab a formaline jar from the table so he didn't notice.
"Are you happy now?" she asked her voice shaking from fear.
"Not yet.I'll be happy when you're dead Dr.Brennan.What took you so long?" he asked, his voice gave her shivers.
They were circling the furniture like two predators waiting for the right moment to kill each other.
"What do you mean?" she asked in confusion.
"With the case, what took you so long.I thought you and your team were the best."
"We are the best. " she thought she could save some time with talking.
"Why did you kill those women?" she asked.
He tried to hit her with the hammer but he lost a grip and the hammer missed Brennan's head with only a millimeter, crashing with a loud bang into the vase behind her.
"Why? I'll tell you why.Because they asked me to.And you're soon going to beg me too." he coughed and spat on the floor.
She noticed a gun on the table,Why didn't she see that before? Had the fear and panic blinded her?
She tried not to lose eye contact with the predator but she also knew it won't take him long now to attack her. She opened the formaline jar and waited for the right moment.
"Good now that I have no hammer I can touch you with my bare hands.I like it better." he let out an awful laugh.
She felt a childish urge to throw him with something Then suddenly his face turned serious and he did one jump towards her over the table and sofa.
Now she took the jar and shoved it's contents into his disgusting face. At first he seemed to be surprised what had happened but then he tripped over the back of the couch, fell to the floor just before her and let out an awful scream.
The chemical was burning his face and made it hard to breathe. She fled the room, grabbing a gun and pushing an alarm button in the hallway.
It was still raining harder than ever before. On the stairs she slipped as the steps were flooded in rain and mud.She fell to the grass landing her left hand first.Sharp pain struck her left arm. She looked at the street where the police car was standing before now it was gone.
"Where the hell are they?" she panicked. The alarm was hammering again ,they should be here any minute.
Then she heard him coming after her.
Brennan saw him stumbling through the hallway and down the stairs. She hoped he'd slip too, but he didn't.
Instead he staggered to the lawn and fell on his knees still screaming.
If he would have been able to see, he would have noticed that Brennan was only few feet away from him. She tried to be as quietly as she could ,so he wouldn't know where she was.
"I'm going to kill you bitch!I swear I am." he yelled out
She tried to load the gun but with one hand it was impossible. Brennan felt blood flowing from her damaged tissues to the cracked elbow and it started to swell up.
The rain seemed to help to relieve the pain a bit cause soon he wasn't screaming so much only moaning.
Then for a minute he fell quiet, he didn't move.
She stared at him.His shirt was soaked with formaline and rain, his arms were covered in long white hair , his finger nails were long and yellow.
Maybe he was dead? She stood up on her feet. And stepped further away when suddenly he did another animalistic jump and attacked her, so she fell on her back on the lawn.
Now she was under his control. She was sure he was going to kill her now. She tried to fight him but he was too strong and her cracked elbow was hurting like hell.
He still couldn't see but he knew that he'd caught the prey.
She was sure that everything will be over with seconds, so she closed her eyes to whatever was coming.
Then suddenly she heard gunshots and Loup Garou's lifeless body fell aside.
Booth ran up to her pulling her into tight hug.
She was so glad to see him that tears broke from her eyes.
