That is a great book...one of my all time favorites. The only book we had to read in school that I enjoyed. Sorry you don't like it.

Yeah, not one of my favorites. Still, I've read worse. Much much worse. "A Distant Mirror" comes to mind - a history the 14th century by following the trials and tribulations of the Sire De Coucy. 700 pages of hell.

That's too bad, it's a great story with a great message. And he only wrote it how the people actually spoke at the time. But I suppose it's not for everyone.

I know that, but I just can't get into it. If I didn't have to read it over Musical stuff maybe I would like it but with the Musical just wrapping up I've only had time to skim it

I only had to read the 2 that I bolded. Some of the English teachers at my school had To kill a mockingbird in their curriculums, but I never ended up with one that did.

I love Animal Farm, I can read a book in a few hours. I'm a speed reader but that Witch Book took me almost 3 weeks to read it. I couldn't even tell you what is was about now.

It's funny, when I was in Boston the last time, we were in the Harvard bookstore, and there was someone in there looking at that book and was recommending it to the other person. Forcefully...lol. I would do the same...I would recommend it to anyone. But I also know that not everyone likes the same thing...lol.
