Sides for season 5

Thanks! Those 7 new sides are actually quite interesting. I liked the 'Perry Wilson' side very much - "uncle Booth" could be very intimidating. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]

Clark is the intern of the week for this episode.

The case revolves around the death of an Amish teenager who was going through Rumspringa. Brennan finds the Amish superstitions foolish, but their traditions fascinating. Turns out the boy was a gifted piano player and about to audition for the National Conservatory when he died. They interview his family, and friends he met when he left the Amish community.

They're re-casting Michelle. Michelle and Cam get into a fight. They're talking about sex and Michelle comments that Cam isn't her mother and her only job was keeping her out of foster care when her dad died, so don't pretend there's anything more. It hurts Cam. But they make up later.

Towards the end of the episode Booth runs into Michelle's boyfriend, Perry. Booth introduces himself as an FBI Special Agent, says he's like an uncle to Michelle, shakes the kid's hand firmly, moves his jacket to reveal his gun, mentions being a trained sniper, and tells him that Michelle deserves respect. Basically, he terrifies the kid. A preview of what Booth would be like if he had a daughter who was dating. Heh.

Which is exactly why when/if BB have a baby, it's so gotta be a girl. We need Booth/Baby Bones moments.

Random impressions...sounds fairly Desperate Housewives, doesn't it?

Yay, Parker's in it! I like Brennan being described as the scary lady. The accent thing sounds weird--maybe Arastoo's one of those getting the boot. And let's not forget the "stud horse" crack.

The whole "God, she's a therapist/anthropologist" was pretty funny, too.

I never knew cultural anthropology got so sexy.

Hmmm... *waggles eyebrows suggestively*

I'm noticing that the sides being released/posted aren't so far showing some of that confusion or skills slippage Booth's supposed to be dealing with. Interested to see how that turns out (esp the plumbing one! Fingers crossed for wet shirts!)

This is very true. It'd almost make me laugh so much if they'd talked them up (sex scene anyone?) and they turn out to be practically non-existent in the show .

I like Arastoo the least out of all the interns. I would have no problems with him going. I don't know what it is, he just makes no impression on me at all - the same in the fantasy episode, where I just found him annoying (I suppose that was kind of the point of his character, but still!). The accent thing might add a bit of interest though, I suppose.

I wouldn't mind seeing another female intern. That could be funny, especially if she was a mini-Bones, completely unintentionally, not like the Daisy hero-worship. Hey now, there's a part for Zooey!

I was kind of a little bummed about the setting for this episode, because I've always held out a faint hope for a B/B undercover in a perfect neighbourhood - like in X-Files or Alias. Seeing them play a married couple with the chemistry they're trying to fight would be awesome!

You know what line I liked outta this whole thing?

Booth: You mind being used as a stud horse, Trey?
Trey: Would you?

...Could that be a slight nod to Critic in the Cabernet?

Yeah, more time was spent with the other interns, even that one guy from Finger, than Arastoo. So, yeah, no tears if he leaves.

And that's what I was thinking about the stud horse crack!

I didn't see her being described as the scary lady. Where was that at?

Umm...now I can't remember exactly which side it was--definitely one of the women, possibly the victim's wife? Sweets was talking to her, and she says something about she's already told the FBI & the scary lady all she knew. I figured it had to be Brennan.

LOL Nice catch! I usually miss things in the script where I would catch right on with inflections of voice and gestures, etc.

Ha! I missed that too

I want to know what prompts Brennan to tell Booth he shouldn't compare his sexual stamina to a 19 year old's. Sounds like an interesting conversation to me. :!:
