And back in the conversation ... I'm thinking we need to have a database for the canon, so we can query it. When did we first see Booth's cocky belt buckle? When did we see him first escort her by the small of her back, aside from the credits? What details do we have about his backstory? - Instead of all this info sitting around in everybody's own workups. Okay, I'm rambling again, nothing nobody wants to hear ... I'll go.

You know that's a monumental task - I'm up for doing the factual research parts if someone wants to help with the show canon and someone else *cough* *cough* *sherry* *cough* wants to put it together.

Gosh, I am missing this show. I spend a ridiculous amount of time searching out fanfic that will make me swoon. A ridiculous amount of time.

The whole database thing isn't such a bad idea, but does definitely sound like a huge task.

I've loved reading and helping to clear up things re:Booth and his past/future and whatever. It's probably sad that we all know and care this much about him and this show, not to mention Brennan as well. But whatever, I don't care.

We know he's a great father and all but it also kind of contrasts because we never really get to see that happen. So maybe in S5, more Parker? Not all the time obviously, but Ty is adorable as it is and all, so seeing him around a little bit more might be good. And also, to maybe see some Bren/Parker interaction? If for nothing more than to back up all the fics that have him totally loving her. I mean, it's bad enough everyone and their brother confuses BB as a couple, but if Booth's own kid were to be like "Daddy, do you love Bones? Because the way you talk about her is the way my friend's dad talks about his mom. You know..."

Well, I'm serious.

I think the Cocky buckle (S2?) and the little things we all write in, like the hand at her back, are good places to start. There is a timeline in the FF resources/references section; a little tweaking of that might also be a good start. If you start this discussion, just let me know where it is and I'll throw in my $1's worth (please...between inflation and the amount of work, that's no piddly 2 cents!)

I'm in. I think I've already established how invested I am in getting things right, it's not that I just love research but I am actually pretty good at it and I am a fan of consistency, so count me in.

Oh gracious me! So now let me put together a questionnaire about what is needed and wanted. I'll put it in the fanfic section, thinking that that's what most anyone who'd use this will be wanting the info for!

I'm already feeling the tension start up the back of me neck!

... but before I do anything at all. Does anyone already know of anything that's already out there that would be a good prototype, something they've run across that does something like this well already? No sense trying to invent something that already exists!!

Thank you very much for the sides! Not really much to talk about in them, though. And I haven't decided whether I like that or not. On the one hand I like being surprised by the episode and not being spoiled too much (cause let's face it, I can't stay away from reading) on the other hand it is soooooo long until September 17th that I would love to have sth to talk about (esp. since HH kinda burst our bubble about the season opener...)

Without stoking the flames of addiction, the fact that maybe they're so 'dull' (as in no big revelations, not a comment on the story-line) makes me wonder if someone's head rolled for leaking sides with a kiss in (and whether that was done accidentally, rather than on purpose, like HH would have us believe.) You know. Maybe. But then, why am I speculating on something I'll possibly never know the answer to. Argh.

That's what I was thinking, too.

After the premiere's sides, I'm sure heads rolled - because I'm not convinced they were faked in the first place.

Though one can never really tell too much from the sides most of the time in the past I got the 'mood' of the episode right. And from the sides for the three episodes that I have read so far the 'mood' seems to be rather serious which I enjoy very much. In the 'Sarah' side Brennan seems to connect with Sarah so our wish of a not so oblivious and socially awkward Brennan in S5 might come true. I am quite confident, that Season 5 will be good... *crosses fingers*

It sounds like a good Cam/Michelle understanding each other episode, Brennan connecting with others episode, family love each other no matter what episode... etc.
