basically she appologized for some stuff then decided to blame herself for all the shitty things that have happened to us... You know the things you think your parent will never say... ever... well it was one of those kinds of letters.

Huh. Sounds weird. I have never had such an experience and I don't think I ever will. Not that I want to hear such words from my parents. Write something nice to her, try to reassure her. There must have been a reason why she was writing this strange letter.
