LOL me too. I tell people I have a very small tolerance for actual interaction with people or a low social quota. When I exceed that I get very cranky and bitchy.

exactly thats why I work in jobs where I don't have to deal with people like with animals or stacks in a library

hum that might be one of my problems with dating...

yeah see I'm ok when I'm with strangers or people I'll never see again. It can get tiring but it's like I flip a switch. Sometimes that too can stress me out. But then I do work in retail so that's bound to happen anyway.

my problem is actually with friends or potential friends. I don't want to meet anyone new because I know eventually they'll leave or I'll get tired of them. Defence mechanisms I'm sure. But social outings make me feel sick. I always joke with people saying if I've treated you like shit and you're still here congrats. It means I'm not going to abandon you. It's kind of my test I guess. You aren't worth my loyalty until you prove it. Which is really sad, but half the time I don't even recognize I'm doing it until it's over and then I feel bad about it.

yea I do the same thing if people start to get close I push them away very few survive

Of course it is. I am incapable of accepting compliments or affection at face value and I have had nowhere near the alienation and isolation you have experienced. Creating and controlling the environment in which you anticipate and expect to be rejected is less painful than actually making yourself vulnerable to someone and then having them disappoint or reject you.

But I needed to get up, I have some appointments and I have to be prepared which means early afternoon I will have to have an energy drink since I don't drink coffee at all. Never have.

That's why poly and phoebs I am the incarnation of House. People that encounter me immediately make the reference. I even have a friend that is my Wilson. Many women have suffered as my Cuddy or subordinate.

I have been called house too though I am usually nice to people at first but if they annoy me they get the full wrath
