Well, I never did get the video store to get anything past the first season. Now they're going out of business - is it karma? I bought all three seasons and now I'm caught up on the whole thing. And now I have my sister as a fan - I didn't really know if she would like it, but she really does!

DB Crazy, welcome to the ABY!!! No woman is ever too old to swoon over David! Wink And I agree that it isn't his looks (although he is quite handsome) that makes me think he's so adorable... it's his gestures, his looks, his smiles. Wink

FIND A FAN CAMPAIGN - Page 2 Empty Re: FIND A FAN CAMPAIGN

Post by DBCrazy Tue Dec 02, 2008 8:47 am

Thanks for the welcome, ForensicMama, and for trying to make me feel free to swoon! I'm from the generation that "adored" someone by buying teen magazines, plastering their posters on your bedroom walls, and maybe having them on a lunchbox or something (think David Cassidy and the Partridge Family, or the Osmond Brothers).

I'm not dangerous, but dang if this doesn't feel something akin to cyber-stalking sometimes. I never got that feeling with the magazines when I was a kid. Can somebody explain to me what's going on??

LOL it's not cyber stalking... lol, I don't think so any how!!! Laughing If it makes you feel any better, I never posted pictures of celebrities all over the place as a kid or bought teen magazines. I left that to my sisters and was never interested in it. But I really love this show. Hahaha... The cast are very talented. I can't get enough! And I can't wait until January! I can't believe we have to wait so long. I'm just hoping for a 'side' to come out soon!

FIND A FAN CAMPAIGN - Page 2 Empty Re: FIND A FAN CAMPAIGN

Post by DBCrazy Wed Dec 03, 2008 2:55 am

Okay, I get it - sort of. I just have to adjust my perceptions to a whole new reality! I'm not too old for this, I just still feel like I'm too old for this! That's progress anyway Rolling Eyes ...

I'm not happy about having to wait till the middle of January either, especially after just having a dry October.

So, what's a 'side'? Something to tide us over? I saw some Couples Counseling clips on YouTube the other night - Brennan and Booth chatting in the waiting room, but it wasn't anything that had been aired. It kind of felt like they were just messing around. Here's one - [Only admins are allowed to see this link] . Is that a 'side'?

Sides are the scripts that are sent out, well, bits of scripts, for actors to try out for the parts. They come on PDFs and you get a little bit of what the episode is about. There are tons of spoilers in them, though, so if you don't like to spoil the show, then you don't want to read, but if you're interested, go to the "Spoilers, Baby!" section and click on the link. Usually, though, to read the sides, you'll have to be a member of livejournal.com (It's easy to sign up, it's basically like a giant cluster of websites)... then you can read the PDFs. They're fun to read and now I'm totally addicted. Wink

FIND A FAN CAMPAIGN - Page 2 Empty Re: FIND A FAN CAMPAIGN

Post by sadhbh Wed Dec 03, 2008 5:55 am

I recruited my housemate. She had to find out what show I was laughing so loudly. When I told her it was Bones, she borriwed my season one dvds. Halfway through, she asks me-so those two, do they ever get together?? I laughed, asked her if she really wanted to know, and told her. Response: "Seriously??"

I'm working on my sister and have a friend who wants to borrow the dvds when the housemate is finished. But they don't count yet, so I'm at one!

I *think* I might have recruited someone! It's my hairstylist, I was telling her about my Bones shoot and she asked me what it was about 'cuz she thought it was like CSI, which she doesn't like. And i was like, "no, it's so much more than that." Sooo...we shall see. I might lend her my Season 1 DVDs.

FIND A FAN CAMPAIGN - Page 2 Empty Re: FIND A FAN CAMPAIGN

Post by Shakari Fri Dec 05, 2008 1:08 pm

Okay, so I was waiting for the shuttle to come pick me up and drop me off in the parking lot after my classes, and these two guys walk past me. I happened to hear a part of their conversation. "So anyway, the intern says he got the idea from his summer job, working on a suicide hotline. And Cam says, are you for or against?" I nearly busted out laughing. I never expected to hear people talking about Bones at the Uni. XDD Wished I'd went and talked to them, but the shuttle arrived. And I was pooped out.

I love overhearing people talking about stuff like that!

Next time, say something! When I started University, I overhear a guy talking about this pirate radio station I (and not that many others) loved. Started talking to him about it. Still friends seven years later. Maybe Bones could have the same effect!

When I was an info fair - i met one girl who looked soo familiar. So I though - where I have seen her. Then it popped in my head - she looked exactly like Meegs Wink Very much the same. So I started talking with her and I told that she looked like her. And came out that she were a Bones fan too. Yey. So I gave her link to ABY. And she popped by one day and told that the site seems wonderful..
So .. we have more fans that we know.
