Chrome no longer works for me
and I still haven't figured out why

even if I delete everything from it and even write over it a couple times on the harddrive and then download it again it still won't work
but it also won't tell me why it doesn't work

firefox works fine though

had firefox before our pc got a real bad virus (as the only one of us then, my parents think firefox is bad or something)... dad installed the pc new and only he has administrator rights, so I can't install anything......

I swear everyone who's using Windows.... try Mac or Linux..... if you can afford it... invest into Mac if you can't ... get Linux ( it's free) no viruses and things work great.

Of course if you're a nerd like me, you'd love that fact that Linux is fully customizable. Okay end of promotion.

he shouldn't. It's well-established that the other browsers are much more secure than ie, which not only is annoying to work with, but is prone to viruses. Just tell him that ;-).
