How many people get pissed off when someone starts a conversation with you, then in the middle of a chat, just disappears without a word?....and they do this to you time and time again, so you know its not just a one time accident. now I'm not meaning on a thread or anything, I mean in an Instant message like MSN. Its very annoying. And a little bit rude. OK, if you don't have a lot of time to talk, say so, or say I gtg...anything. But why start talking to me, say half a dozen sentences, ask me a question or make a comment that seems to want an answer, then just disappear? grrrrr

I even hate when people do that in the IHBFC, but on MSN it drives me nuts

I know I'm really guilty of that Toz, but that's a little different, a lot of the time I leave the convo in a thread with every intention of coming back but work or the phone or something quite often keeps me away.
But a personal convo that someone else starts is different and something I always try to make time for, and if I do have to leave, I at least try to say something like gtg or brb or something like that. . And I'm not talking PM's here either, that's sort of the same as a thread, but an IM on gmail or MSN is like a phone call, and in my opinion its just as rude to be dropped from an IM like that as it is a phonecall.
Constantly being just dropped with no warning or explanation is just annoying. I don't care if I sound whiny, its just annoying!!

Nope..quite the opposite. Found out someone I thought I could trust wasn't being honest with me. Not a good feeling.

I'm wondering why a package that's supposed to come to Chicago starts in Indianapolis and then goes to New Berlin, WI? And then is estimated to take another 2 days to get here?

This is really the best outcome, but it makes me sad so I'm going to put it here in the VENT thread...

My niece is having her new baby Feb. 12th. My sister is the mama and grandma, but she wasn't able to get off work to go help out so I offered - I was all set to go, except that I hadn't bothered to get the airline tickets yet. Just a few minutes ago my sis barged in my office to tell me that her assembly line is going to be laid off the day before I was heading out.

So that means I have to stand down and let her go. I should be happy for her getting to go, and really I am, but I'm sad that I don't get to go now.

My first rule is don't aquire too much stuff, (it makes the job so much easier if you move a lot), which I have broken badly this time. Second rule is don't get too sentimental over things. Which is hard right now because I am a wee bit... shall we say emotional. Third rule is everything falls into two categories, want or need. I'll sort through the 'want' pile like 20 times and find it gets reduced every time. Boxes are good to find at liquour stores or supermarkets... packing tape is your friend. Also finding a bunch of big strong burly men to move stuff helps both the eye and the back. and.... charitys are usually more than happy to accept unwanted items. Sometimes, they'll even pick stuff up.
