My family is very close.

we aren't really that close... i saw my cousins for the first time in two years a few weeks ago... and i don't even speak to my canadian cousins (but that's because they are unpleasant people...)

That's sad, bess. I mean, some of my cousins I don't see cuz they live in New Jersey, and my aunt died quite a few years ago, but if I saw them, we'd get along great. But my sisters and I...our kids are more like siblings than cousins.

My mother's side of the family is close. My father's side on the other hand, not so much.

Well, that's true...I rarely see my dad's sister and family. Which is sad, cuz we live in the same town. But as far as my immediate family...like I said, our kids are like siblings.
