PD was so unique, maybe the ABC exects just didn't get it. That's what happened to Firefly. Just about everyone who watched it loved it. But the top guy at FOX is said to have watched it, and just didn't get it. So after that they seemed to do everything they could to kill it. Maybe that's what happened with PD.

It's gotta bring in the numbers, especially in these days of fiscal panic. I suppose the advertisers, feeling the squeeze, want the most bang for their buck, and shows, no matter how good and well loved, aren't gonna last long if they don't bring in the viewer numbers. The advertisers want as many people as possible watching their commercials. They'll squawk to the studio heads, and there will be some sort of reaction. Guess we saw it on PD.

I watch some high rated shows, and they're riddled with commercials now, so much so they're almost unwatchable. I record a lot of the one's I like and watch them later so I can skip past the commercials.
