ick. I actually just gave those instructions to my fiance, who called earlier saying he now has an extremely painful sore throat and general achiness. hehehe... his originaly thought was, well, will hot chocolate work? And I laughed and said as delicious as that is, tea w/ honey and cough drops will work a bit better ;-).

and re gargling salt water, I can confirm: that does work. My mom always made us do that growing up.
