Ah. Like me. 'Cept when I sing, people wince. I'm sure you're much better than I am. Wouldn't be hard!
I don't know about that. I sing in my talking voice. But i can't do much singing right now cause I have a cold
I'm a real soprano. When I get high enough only dogs and other poor unfortunate creatures like that can hear me.

That's good! I can't do the low notes at all. Quite rubbish at them. It just sounds gravelly and awful.

5 and a half more weeks, but yes. I'm in my last year and have exams next week, then 5 more weeks then I'm finished. I'm scared, but also thankful, I suddenly realised that 5 years of high school (college) and I've come out with no real friends or attachments, which is quite depressing when you think about it!
My little internal moment was caused by my suspicions about a friend of mine being pregnant being confirmed due to me overhearing a conversation rather than anyone actually telling me. I'd guessed, but apparently I'm out of the loop in that respect. I had guessed but even my limited social intellect tells me that you don't ask people if they're pregnant as if they're not, it's mildly offensive. I can see why no one told me, objectively, but I'm still rather hurt that I wasn't let into that little secret. *sigh* Oh well.

5 weeks? Seriously? Not to sound rude, but is it not an odd time to be finishing school? I mean, in terms of the seasons and that.
And apologies about the friends thing. Maybe it was a thing of the more people who knew, the more likely it was to get out?

Re: I Hart Booth Fan Club
Nah, September is spring here, I have two weeks holiday after mock exams then we end in November then have exams, finish by late November and have December to February off for the summer, although I think my holidays go until mid February this year as I start uni and the uni year runs from February/April til October.
I would agree with you, but I overhead two people discussing it and they aren't even in my year and since the girl in question was new to the school, she never really talked to anyone but our year, so obviously it's out, I just never found out. It's not really any of my business to be totally honest but I did just realise that I have absolutely no connection to anyone at school (mainly by choice, I have to say). It's not that I hate the place, I enjoy school but I just never bothered to make friends.

Any ideas what you want to do in university? Or are you saving all those hard questions until you absolutely have to answer them?
Ah, the people in school are often a bit silly anyway. I generally find people at that age are terribly pretentious and are so busy in impressing everyone and projecting this ideal version of themselves that they're not particularly worth knowing anyway.

Re: I Hart Booth Fan Club
I'm doing vet for the first 6 months to see if I get in, but in the great scheme of things, I'd like to do a BSc and go into pure research and potentially a Masters or a PhD as my "volatile" (my teachers words, not mine) personality isn't always suited to a great deal of human contact. I'm not sure what I'll major in if i go that route, but I'll work that out later. Both my parents worked in research with the crown research people so hopefully I'll have contacts if I want a summer job
They are incredibly silly, I think I outgrew that a few years ago and can't cope with people being immature, I just spend a good portion of the day by myself reading so I don't really socialise a lot and find a lot of teenagers really, really strange

Research?! Oh my gosh, I wouldn't touch that with a barge pole! You have to be dedicated for that kind of thing. And dedicated is one thing I am not. I'm also not very focused. I get distracted very easily. Would be useless at research. Fair dues to you.

Research is where I'd like to end up, although that may change, we shall see! I can be focussed when it matters or when I'm really interested in something, apart from that, no, so I'm trying to find a career in which I'll be desperately interested in what happens, or else I'll get bored.
