Well, our wonderful president would like to pass a law that they will not fund hospitals or other health care agencies that make workers who do not believe in 'abortion', which they are trying to define as birth control as well, participate in such care, such as giving prescriptions for birth control.

I'm sorry, but if you are a nurse, do your job. Birth control doesn't equal abortion.

oh gods..... abortion is not birth control! It's delibaretely terminating a life!

I think birth control, especially condoms, should get more advertised, after all condoms also prevent the spreading of many diseases.

IMO, thinking ahead before just screwing each others brains out is IMPORTANT and shows a certain level of maturity. Kids who don't have the maturity and knowledge yet need guidance from their parents and school!

Yeah will...I mean, I can understand if they don't want to participate in abortion, but birth control? Come on! How many homeless, abused, or orphaned children are in this country??? Well, let's just add more!

If they deny access to birth control, there will be more problems. Bush is an idiot.

How can birth control be abortion? Abortion is defined as the removing the embryo/fetus. At that point there isn't one.

I think I just threw up in my mouth.

exactly! I also get mad when I hear the priests ramble how birth control isn't something we should do, god decides for us? NO WAY! Does God really want to see thousands and thousands of kids starve in Africa or could he get used to Africans using condoms? I'm catholic (on paper anyway Wink

) but this is just damn ridicilous. God decides, my ass.

For instance, I know that a priest in our hometown said people who have diseases or are handicapped have to be sinners or God wouldn't punish them like that.
He died of a heart attack...... there, was that god's present or what?
