Re: I Hart Booth Fan Club
Hubby and I watched the first ever episode of SNL with George Carlin hosting. I actually didn't think it was all that funny, but then again, it WAS the first episode.

In total agreement, razz. It's quite sad how lame it's gotten.
it really is. hopefully they'll do some kind of revamp and pull out of the rut.

SUCH a classic SBTB episode!
oh totally! that's *the* episode i always think of! And I love their little music video they did in that (was that the same episode? now I'm second guessing myself)
The vid where Kelly, Jessie, and Lisa are all dancing to the song? I'm pretty sure that's the same epi.

And I wasn't even alive in 1975 when SNL first aired, so I might have missed some of the jokes.

They used to show reruns ALL the time on TBS back in the mid '90s. Then they had the stupid "New Class." Poor Dustin Diamond. He really will always be Screech.

Mario Lopez. And his show on Animal Planet was fun, "Pet Star," I think. I want a dog who can do fun tricks.

I don't mean to get too personal, it's none of my business, but doesn't your own private life get affected in a negative way? I am just curious, that's all. Or the other possibility is that you get inspired more... Well, I can think of that. Living the dream. Sounds actually nice and stimulating...
You can ask me anything personal you want. As for being affected negatively, right now I'm single but I was single before the porn, so that hasn't changed. Honestly, it's more business-like than anything. The porn blurbs don't arouse me at all, so its not like I'm supercharged an am just sitting at home masturbating all day! LOL!
It's work, and that's seperate to me. And for me, getting inspired in my writing usually doesn't happen with the porn because porn is a little fake I find. And my erotica is about real women having real sexual experiences, so it's almost like two different things.
The working from home thing in general does make me less social, which I have to work on.
But because I don't take a negative view of pornography (I think some is mysogynestic, most is not) I have no problem writing it.
I guess the only other way it would affect me negatively is the thought that if I was looking at porn all day, I would be less inclined to have sex. But that's highly unlikely as I don't find porn that hot. (Now a good erotic story on the other hand...)
Does that answer your question? Does it make sense? I sort of rambled.
Re: I Hart Booth Fan Club
that's right! I never saw it... I should try and find episodes. The thought of him being anyone but slater cracks me up.

I could see that, willi. I agree... porn, not arousing at all... but for some reason, well-written erotica can be quite enjoyable.

The misogynistic aspect is what bothers me. I can enjoy porn as a mutually satisfying event but get turned off by violation, humiliation, and abuse. But because I don't take a negative view of pornography (I think some is mysogynestic, most is not) I have no problem writing it.

Absolutely, but most porn isn't like that. I agree, I'm don't like that stuff either.
