S6, SO video - Comic Con
Not sure if this vid has been posted at all, but quite a nice little interview with ED & DB about B&B, talking about their communication while away and the new SO - how Booth met her and how the personalities of the SO and Brennan will create a "nice little game"!!

You can tell from this vid just how great friends these two are and how they click....

Interesting. They meet because Booth arrests her....hummm. I hope we don't have to sit through too much footage of their backstory, cause I'm pretty much holding back my gag reflex the entire time...not sure how long I can hold it!

Makes it sound like Booth is still very, very much NOT over Brennan, and that being back with her in DC has brought all his feelings back to the surface. Things may have been nice with his chicky in Afghanistan, but Brennan is still the standard!!!

Re: S6, SO video - Comic Con
Is this the Marisa interview? if so can I just say that I'm not sure how I feel knowing that B/B didn't communicate at all, I would have thought that at least emailed or wrote letters ,while they were gone........From one point of view it makes total sense, because essentially they were taking a break from one another, so why dredge up uncomfortable feelings/thoughts during that break? But on the other hand I just can't see how they went from spending pretty much every waking minute together to "quitting cold turkey"? I would imagine it would have had to be pretty hard on them.
Also I really really miss new Bones episodes right now... Is it September yet?

Re: S6, SO video - Comic Con
I really think though that we are going to have to stomach some very very sexy scenes with Booth and this Reporter/SO for a while before they begin to have it make an effect on them. Both ED and DB have used the words "toward the middle of the season" to describe when it starts to effect them...so i think she's going to be around for quite a while...like half the season. Not in every ep obvi, but they say 5 eps...but then again, Cam was supposed to be just a few eps too. ugh...I'm making myself crazy!!!! I'm looking forward to the show and new eps, but not to this and I think this is going to take over most of the plot and ughhhhh I just hate it! Oh well. brng on the Jealous Brennan and maybe I can stand it...I'm just going to have to keep a garbage can handy.

Re: S6, SO video - Comic Con
The way she's hanging on him. I really can't reconcile the thought of Boreanaz's womanizing ways with them hanging on each other like that. Call me shallow I suppose. Just a lot that's odd to old-fashioned me. So now the guerilla encounter would be real after all? striptease too? No contact B - B: unbelievable, unrealistic—same crap as on House where House and Cuddy supposedly had no contact whatsoever during his summer at the asylum. And he also came back to her having gotten a boyfriend (Lucas)... who stayed around (although not seen very often) for the whole season, all the way up to Cuddy accepting his marriage proposal only to, in the final ep, decide that she really wants House after all.
Re: S6, SO video - Comic Con
I'm actually ok with the no contact. Makes more sense for journo barbie to enter the picture. I don't like it, but it's happening so I want them to make it believable. How would Booth be able to move on if he were in communication with Brennan? This is supposed to be about his attempt to move on, so yeah, I'm ok with that aspect of it. I'm really starting to look forward to how this is all going to play out. Brennan realizing her feelings and Booth not being as over her as he thinks he is. Call me optimistic or just plain crazy, but I really think this is the year!!

Eventhough we know straight from David that he's cheated on his wife, that one piece of knowledge doesn't encompass everything that he is, Human beings are complicated and I'm sure he has facets of his personality that allows him to be friends with women.
I still don't remember this striptease from the sides, but even if the guerilla stuff is true, I'm gonna guess that the stripping part is not, at least until I see it on my tv screen.

I don't think no contact is that unrealistic and unbelievable. It makes the blonde journalist bimbo more believable. How can he possibly move when he's in communication with Brennan? It's going to be so hard to watch Booth with the blond journalist bimbo. The way David and Emily say "the middle of the season" makes me think that she will stick around til the middle of season, but we only will see her in five episodes. I just want when David starts talking about how Booth and the SO met.

There is a new article out from TV guide. I can't add the link now I'm using my phone but the gist is the new serial killer will be a sniper and one of the squinterns is gonna be a victim. Episode 4 sounds like it will be quite the mind fuck for Brennan. Emily is directing an episode and David is directing 2 episodes. And journo barbie Hannah is an open ended character. Does that mean they don't know for sure how long she will be around?

Re: S6, SO video - Comic Con
I think the premise for the 4th episode (Brennan solving her own "murder") sounds bloody awesome. Something to make Brennan re-think her whole life and look at things differently, can only be good. Right?????

I must say that I do like that idea too. If it's done right, which I am pretty confident they can and hopefully do.

Sure, but my point is that the no communication at all is too far-fetched for this day and age and with Bones' wealth. It's just forced, I feel. Yes, it would explain how he could "move on." No-contact might be a prerequisite for moving-on but it's not because the writer wants the latter that that makes the former more realistic.
Re: S6, SO video - Comic Con
I never thought she would be in contact with him. She hasn't in the past...not even when he was recovering from a brain tumor. And it doesn't matter how wealthy you are....sometimes there just is no internet...no cell phone towers etc. Even normal letter mail can be sketchy in some parts of the world. And heck, in some parts of the world, writing a letter with a US military could get you thrown in prison. Neither Brennan or Booth were exactly holed up at the Marriott. Although apprently Booth has cell phone service...LOL!

Re: S6, SO video - Comic Con
I don't think them having no contact is because they couldn't contact one another, it's that they chose not to. Which is why I sort of questioned it at first, being that they spend almost all of their time together,
but some very good points have been brought up not the least of which is that Brennan has never contacted Booth during digs before. (or even when she went to see Russ between Seasons 1 and 2, he thought she was on a dig, and she was in North Carolina with Russ). Also it really does make sense that if she wants to gain perspective and he wants to try and move on, that they wouldn't want to contact one another, It was like they just hit the pause button on their "friendship" .

I made the money argument because satellite phone calls are very expensive but they can be used almost anywhere on the planet. About her not wanting to stay in touch... Yes, before she didn't but those were much shorter timespans and B &B weren't as close yet. No matter the convoluted situation they found themselves in at the end of 5x22, they are still people who share a strong connection. I just don't see it. I have myself experienced very complicated relationship situations in the past where I and my on-and-off girlfriend were half a world away at diffrenet times, one of the places being a country that was more "backwards" technologically than Indonesia and even US-armed-forces Afghanistan. We did keep in touch, by letter, by phone, even when we didn't have a phone of our own with international calling capabilities... and even when we had broken up or were going through serious trouble.
Re: S6, SO video - Comic Con
I do think the them not staying in touch thing is insane and stupid. But, it seems to be the standard for TV shows. I can name a few others that have done that exact same thing. (albeit, not for a 7 whole months) but it seems like writers don't want to have to deal with the "what did they talk about while they were away) so they just make it so they never spoke at all. personally, i think it would have been damn good publicity for bones if they had written letters via email....or something (since it's TV and you can suspend reality anytime you want) and posted them during the break.
But, I do have to say, that it does make Hannah more believable. No way in hell I'd buy that he falls for someone else while he's actively talking to bones all the time.
Booth needs the 'out of sight out of mind' thing to make himself believe he is actually 'over' brennan. Sure, it may work for the first episode......MAYBE even the second. But, wait until one of her interns gets picked off by a sniper and suddenly he's consumed with worry for his partner. Added with the fact that trying to make a relationship work in DC is way different than in a war zone....i don't see it lasting very long.
When they say five episodes, I wonder how many scenes she is truly in. The woman has no place at the lab or FBI and I'd say.....85 percent of their scenes take place while they are working (if you count their diner talks as work too) They could show a few booth alone with her scenes like they did briefly with rebecca and cam, but I really don't think they will over load the audience with it.

It makes no sense to me that in this day and age they didn't communicate in some way. It also occurred me that Brennan once said that she did better in writing than speaking, so if she was going to vocalize the internal conversation she was having about Booth, it makes sense to me that she could do it best in writing.
You're quite correct, though. Their lack of communication is the only way Hannah would have worked.

As far as David and the recent claims....David and his wife are in therapy...he's admitted what he did, rather than pay money to the slimeball girl...everyone makes mistakes...and as far as anyone knows for sure..that was the only mistake.
Anyone can say anything about you...but that doesn't make it true. Until we hear or see tangible proof, it's just an accusation. An accusation that, if examined, gives an out of work actress who's looking to make a name for herself, and was admitted she was ok with him helping her with her career...a ton of money...for what? an attempted kiss? The other stuff I've only seen on a very slimy web site, so I don't even give that credence. Personally, I can't look at someone any differently based on the word of someone who has nothing to lose and everything to gain by making the claim...and her slimy, lower than low lawyer.
Innocent until proven guilty guys???? heard of the concept?

I'm not sure what "guys" you are referring to in this thread, there was one comment, which I already addressed. I agree completely with you, but we should ALL ( this is not just directed at you) try and keep the conversation about DB's personal life to the DB forums, this forum is for spoilers.
