Spoiler Chat ~ 5x20 The Witch in the Wardrobe

Even if there isn't a ton of B/B, I'm still uber-excited to see this episode on Friday! Unfortunately, my schedule won't allow me to watch it on FOX tomorrow night, so I plan on making mac&cheese and vegging in from of my computer tomorrow night, watching this episode and the latest Chuck.

God bless you and your recaps, treble21! I may go insane without them.

KR said in an interview there wasn't going to be B/B moments...it was mainly about the case...but there would be one suprise....which we knew from the sides was the A/H marriage.

I am excited about this epi. I was hoping there wouldn't be any mention of 3rd parties. So...next epi is the GD trial!! I don't think there will be mention of 3rd parties there. There might be in the finale...but we know that and aren't appearing in either two. So...let's keep our fingers crossed that if there is talk about them, then it is b/c they are no longer dating!!!!

holy HODGELA!!! Such a Hodgins and Angela wedding, love it. Liked when Clark channeled his inner Hodgins with his experiment, he's slowly opening up a little. Sweets was too funny he was so excited. Why is it that Sweets and Brennan always seem to have done research for papers on a lot of the subject matter surrounding the murders they solve. Loved Cam listening to the sheriff and not bailing Ange and Hodgins out. Tangent - Remember on Full House when Uncle Jesse was stuck in jail the day he was supposed to marry Aunt Becky and she had to bail him out in her wedding dress. Good B&B moment at the end, I agree with those of you who said, they both know she knew what Booth meant. Can't wait to see the preview for next week's episode!

I'm sure many of you have already picked up on this already, but what B&B's relationship kind of reminds me of what happens with Angela and Hodgins. In S2, Hodgins ask her out and she said 'no' and then in the 100th, Booth said he wanted to give a romantic relationship try with Brennan and she said 'no', but I don't know if this means that B&B will get together, brake up and get back together again.

Some of you shippers might think I'm crazy, but I love the road that B&B are going. I know it 'looks' like B&B are going in different directions, but they will eventually end up at the same destinations together. I'm more interested in how they get together after what happened in the 100th. I still consider myself a shipper because I want them to get together, but I would rather see how the story plays out instead of watch them being thrown together. And I still think that HH&Co. are brilliant writers and just because Brennan did something that was totally in her character doesn't mean their stupid. People just need to have a little faith and sit back and enjoy the show.

He did definitely agree that it was S/D that was the see saw to B/B relationship , I recall after that he also said to keep that in mind going into the finale ( S/D got engaged in 99, Brennan rejected Booth in 100, if it's a see saw, I'm guessing it moves the other way.....)

but this is probably a comment for the thread for finale speculation....

I thought Hart was talking about Sweets and Daisy too!

This episode sounds like a good one. I'm gonna watch it online in a few minutes, (and then tomorrow of course)... From what I'm reading, even though there weren't a lot of B/B moments (didn't expect a lot) it seems like maybe they were more natural with each other? Is this right? If so that would make me very happy!

yeah they were, no awkwardness this week.

That's awesome... even though I know it was in there on purpose, he awkwardness was getting painful. I'm off to go watch it!

Just saw the episode. I thought it was average

I was glad for no mention of and Forehead, which meant no awkward moments for B/B

Hodgela was cute, but it felt a bit rushed (ah well there is always hope for a BIG B/B wedding :p)

The storyline just didn't get to me, I was expecting to see a lot more of the Wicca stuff, but instead we had a lot of sweets explaining.

B/B moments, well got my fix for this week, a few looks during the episode and I loved the ending (good opening for fanfic writers). Felt good to see Booth laugh again with Brennan.

It was so nice to see Booth smiling without that wounded look and no Brennan rubbing his nose in what a charming guy Hacker is. But remember that HH said Hacker played a bigger role so I expect some mention of him in one of the next two episodes -- unfortunately.

I don't hate Hacker. I actually think he's kind of funny because he reminds me of 'man child' like one of those guys who lives in their parents garage, plays video games all day and plays in a garage band... but I think it's kind of ironic that he's such a dork, but he supposed to be the DD of FBI. But I don't think he's a romantic threat to B&B at all because Brennan already admitted that she doesn't want to have sex with him, she likes Booth more than him and that Booth is more handsome than him (well, duh!)

I really don't see Hacker has the jealous type that would do anything once he found out what was going on with B&B because he's total dork who probably doesn't have many chances with women, so he's probably used to women bailing on him. I don't think he would fire Booth because he always says that he is his best agent, but he could split them up...But if he is going to have a bigger role, the only thing I can see him doing is giving B&B clearance.

Anyways back to the topic, what do B&B talk about in their moment at the end?

I would like to second what someone said earlier that this entire story arc with third parties is ridiculous. I been saying it for awhile. Hart promised an amazing final 8 episodes and thus far he has not delivered. Catherine and Hacker have not been in the screen long enough for us to really believe that it could threaten BB and much less have the desire impact on them.

I do not know if any of you saw this Monday's Castle, but I'm finding their third party story more compelling. The Castle/ Beckett third party story is well written, and you know it will have an impact for the finale. Demming is a nice guy, and Beckett is really attracted to him. Her heart wants Rick, but she fears that he might end up breaking her heart. Rick wants Kate, but he needs to grow up to ensure a future with her.

Come on Hart..... bring back the quality and the joy to Bones.

I just got done watching... I really like this one! It was nice to have a break from the angst! [Only admins are allowed to see this image] I agree that in some ways Hodgins and Angela was a little rushed, but then again I'm not sure how much story line they could have spun it out for... (they already did that whole thing with the first planned wedding) and they are pretty spontaneous people, so it kinda seemed right this way.

I really liked the ending scene with B/B. I that it had A LOT in it. I'm definitely not trying to "read into it" here... but geez! Booth mentions his wish for her is to "find happiness... love...a purpose... friendship... and a dance." Really? Unless the sangria is melting my brain to much, it seems some very obvious 'ties' into past episodes.

When he mentions wanting her to have happiness his voice breaks, right before he says love. (puppy dog look for Booth)...and am I the only one who thinks him saying "a purpose" and "a dance" is pretty darn deliberate! After all, they used the whole "Brennan didn't leave with Sully because she can't have a life without purpose" excuse pretty specifically (using the exact word)... and for Booth to bring up friendship in the same sentence with it... And lets not forget him putting the words "a dance" in his wish for her? Come on... tell me it's not just alcohol imaginings, but I thought this scene was very promising for the B/B front.

And regarding Hacker... I actually think if he's big in any way it WILL be that he kinda "clears the path" for B/B... or at the very least his statement about giving himself clearance to date Brennan a few episodes ago will allow the writers an "out" to use when it does happen. In that respect we will all kinda love Hacker... (if this is how it plays out)

'Softy Booth!' I love 'softy' Booth and his cute puppy dog look. So whats this tlak about "a dance"?

I couldnt agree with u more. I cant wait for the next 2 episodes!

Booth takes out the little stickfigure that you can see in the promo, it has been given to him by the witches. The witch told Booth that if he burns the figure in her (Brennan ofc) presence, the wish he will make for her will come true. Ofcourse Brennan is saying it's all superstition, while Booth taunts to burn it with a wicked smile on his face.
Booth then closes his eyes and slowly brings the figure closer to the flame of his zippo, meanwhile Brennan laughs while still claiming it won't work and into flames it goes.
Booth asks Brennan if she wants to know what he wished for, she says no because it's completely irrelevant, he then gets a serious look on his face and says ''I wish...I wish for you to find happiness'' Brennan aswers ''I don't know what that means'' followed by Booth saying ''Happiness, love, laughter, friendship, purpose and a dance.

Brennan says a kinda shy ''thank you'' then Booth slowly gets a gigantic smile on his face and says that ''you wouldn't have thanked me if part of you doesn't believe it true'' and they fade out with their usual banter

Great moment, haven't see Booth smiling like that in ages

jr054 No, he doesn't ask her to dance (they are sitting at a table at FF over drinks...) but he includes it in his "wish" for her when he burns the little bones figure for good luck. (If you haven't seen it the little bones figure is not an "evil" thing but a good thing.)

It seems kinda deliberate to put "a dance" and "purpose" into his wish for her, to me.

Yeah. I just haven't seen the episode yet and it's cinco day mayo, so when you wrote, 'dance' I was wondering what was going on.
