Wardrobe Sexism

I have read debates on this topic before here in the forum so I thought I would post this.

"There's a doctor on the programme Bones (I tune in for an hour's lech at David Boreanaz, having first fancied him as a vampire back on Buffy) who wears an endless parade of stretchy, bandage-style dresses so tight that I'm sure I've caught sight of her internal organs. Make no mistake, the actress is gorgeous, with a slim figure that anyone would envy or yearn to have sex with, depending on their bent. But her character is the head of a laboratory, not a hostess at an after-hours club."

I didn't click on the link or anything but when I was reading the blip you posted it actually took me a second to figure out who was being talked about. Which is probably sad, I know, but still. Honestly, while at times their wardrobe choices do tend to be revealing at times and maybe unrealstic (which is interesting, considering the fact Brennan has cut back onthe chunky necklaces, and yet she has increased the low-cut, revealing tops.
Anyway, is it wrong? Probably. But it's TV, and sex sells. B&B aren't getting it on yet, so they have to find something to reel people in.

I'm surprised it didn't reference Angela and her endless supply of sleeveless shirts. Far worse professionally than what Cam or Brennan are wearing. But I would tend to agree. I miss Brennan's old eco-warrior look.

Ha! My first thought was Brennan doesn't wear stretchy dresses, then I realized they were talking about Cam LOL.... I don't really notice anymore cause she's been wearing them for so long, almost since she came on the show........

So do I! TNT is showing S1 again now, in sequence, and she looks so damn good in eco-warrior casual. Thats what i thought!
Even though her dresses are tight fitting, i find her blue highnecked lab coat funnier because its always super tight fitting!

Are we talking Brennan's lab coat (which was actually loose for most of S1) or that weird thing that Cam wears with the too-short top? It gapes when she bends and considering that I got in trouble in high school for wearing shirts like that to work, that must also have a certain level of unprofessionalism. Yep i did mean the lab coat thing. It really is strange and tight fitting, i remember hers getting more tight while brennans lab coat was oddly baggy...
