What does your Username mean?

Mine is from HighSchool. My maiden name is Cunningham and first name starts with an H. A classmate decided that I should be Howie after Howard Cunningham from Happy Days. It stuck.

Mines kinda lame, back in the late 90's when my family got a real computer , I was trying to come up with an online handle, and at the time I was obesessively listening to a song by a Canadian band called Treble Charger, so I chose treble but wherever I was posting back then, the handle was taken so I added the 21 and it just stuck.

I couldn't possibly begin to tell the story of how my name came about. Its bizarre and long....

so many interesting names...mine is just my real name: Cynthia (which I actually love) most of the time I just go with cynthia_jw (the JW stands for my religion Jehovah Witness) but I decided to come up with something different for this forum so I remembered the episode where people on a forum who were Brennan's fans called themselves "Brennanites"... and there you go... to be honest I absolutely love it, now I'm working on changing my username everywhere for this one...

Pretty simple, it's the name of one of my cats, now passed, that I absolutely loved. He was this big, beautiful maine coone cat. Miss him.

J is the first letter of my SO, S is first letter of my name and we are both Gemini. (Our birthdays are only 2 days apart)

Pretty basic, my name's Joy, and whenever I take a "which Bones character are you" quiz I always come up as "Dr. Temperance Brennan." Add in that Temperance's birth name was Joy and, well, "joybrennan" just seemed to fit.

Well, one day I got sick of the username everyone knew me by (it still feels like...almost my real name!), and I usually like to use a different username on different places these days, so as I was about to join a forum, I decided it was time for a new one. Unfortunately I always over think my username. I usually really want it to be something simple people can comfortably shorten or call me by, while being something I can stand hearing repeatedly.

So, I was, as usual, stuck trying to come up with a user name and my thoughts happened to wander to the name of the Finnish Museom of Modern Art, Kiasma. I then started to wonder what they had named it after as it is a peculiar word that doesn't seem to mean anything. So I googled the museum and read through its history and then I discovered what the word kiasma is in English: Chiasma. I looked up the word meaning and I grew fond of it:

Part of the reason I probably grew so fond of it: I have a thing for medical and science terms. I love them. I sometimes spend hours looking up medical terms and reading up on them...it's weird, I know. xD

Anyways, I wound up using this username here also...because I couldn't think of another name and I got stuck...again xDDDD

Only down side to this name is that when people shorten it to Chia, people make the connection to chia pets...which I really know diddly squat about but people keep mentioning them to me and then they pour water on me to make me grow! lol

I read the post first, and I almost believed it until I actually looked at your username.

Mine is the same as my email address. At the time I was making it, the regular spelling of coconut was taken so I used k's instead. I just really love the Coco Rico coconut soda (though it does NOT taste like coconut).
