DOes it have a meaning though?
There was this scene, back in...2002? On General Hospital, for a couple I shipped, the first one I ever shipped really. *holds for laughs*....Yeah, I know. But it involved them, and a fountain, and dancing and lot of other romantic things (including moonlight, and the Gardenia sort of became their symbol.)
Yes. I actually was naive enough to ship a soap opera couple. Sue me.

Re: What does your Username mean?
THX1138 - someone asked me once about it and it's sort of wierd, but it's the title of both a movie and the hero of a movie. The movie is [Only admins are allowed to see this link]. It was George Lucas' first full length feature film.
The movie is sort of like George Orwell's 1984, only without the happy ending. It explores a future dystopia where there is almost no privacy. Where commercialism is paramount, and profit is the only motive. There is no free will and authentic emotions are suppressed and controlled by the state via drug therapy. Even religion is controlled by the state with God having been replaced by a programmed engram. THX is just an average man, a factory worker, but he struggles against the system. He avoids his medication and falls in love with his female roommante, LUH. Together THX and LUH find true love and happiness...that is until their other room mate SEN finds out about them. He turns them into the state, they're both arrested. THX is imprisoned and LUH is executed.
As bleak as it all is there's something about THX 1138's continued struggle against a system that has stripped him of his humanity and taken everything that matters from him, that I find inspiring.

You know if you re-read that description of the future dystopia, were almost there now. Scary isn't it?

No big surprise with mine. I loved the TV show Moonlight with Alex O'Loughlin AND I love Bones. Hence, moonlightbones.
MG, I gotta know which GH couple you shipped. I was a soap viewer for years. Finally gave up my last one, Y&R, in March. I had watched it for over 30 years.

My mom said the same thing about Farenheit 451 when she read it this year, and I found Animal Farm deeply disturbing even back in high school. And from what I can tell, 1984 missed by a few years...

Re: What does your Username mean?
pimp.......Originally here my nickname was cementhead from the nickname of a hockey player. that name came from a discussion about neat names hockey players have that I had with Loony.
I was the only guy here at the time I think. Gimmieagun I think it was kept saying something like I was the pimp of the place because I was the only guy, and Loony picked up on that and kept calling me pimp, and after a while it stuck and everyone was calling me that,so I changed my nickname to pimp.

I had the name of Kasper ze Chemist from ages ago... I came up with it while I was really sick about 4 years ago and was doing chemistry homework and I was being weird. Kasper is also my "codename" for my friend and I's secret identities in the story we wrote in high school.
It's very interesting to hear people's stories!

Well, Nightowl is a double meaning. Firstly, I am of the night loving variety. Second, it's a play on Nite-Owl, one of the best graphic novel characters ever concieved, from the Watchmen. (For whom my son is proudly named!)

Re: What does your Username mean?
I am boring and years ago I used to watch a show with a character named Phoebe, I loved the show until it turned into a joke... (though looking back it was probably always a joke) Anyway I made my first outing into the fanfic word with this screen name and it has stuck because it is my ff.net screename and as I have visited many fandoms with it I figured why not.

Re: What does your Username mean?
Haha. Just a short response to the previous post.
As for myself, the first part I think is pretty obvious. I wanted to make it obvious. lol As for the rest, I'm Hungarian which you all know and the Hungarian equivalent for the word is "magyar". So I just used the the first three letters and you may ask about the rest. Well, they are just random letters while my fingers were running on the keyboard. So there is absolutely no thought behind it. lol So that's my story.
