Episode 4.10: The Con Man in the Meth Lab

Booth and Brennan investigate the scene where a body was uncovered during a botched practice police raid. The team identifies the body as a struggling inventor's father who had recently reunited with his son. But when a second body surfaces, the team is led on a trail of deception to find out who was the actual con-man in the inventor's life. Clark Edison returns to the lab, and he and Hodgins work on piecing together blueprints from one of the inventor's potentially valuable inventions. Meanwhile, Booth's younger brother Jared (guest star Brendan Fehr) moves to D.C. to take a job at the Pentagon, and Brennan, smitten with Jared, agrees to go on a date with him to a White House function. Her date with Jared leads her to learn information about Booth's past and give her a far greater understanding into her partner's motives. Partner's motives? To what? The way he treats her like a queen?

I was thinking more of what made Booth, Booth. You know, past experiences that made him who he is.

That makes sense. I hope this thing between Brennan and Jared doesn't go anywhere.

In the Con Man Episode, Booth gives up the credit for an investigation. That's what they're referring to.

i'm still sticking with my belief that jared will be good for BB. maybe learning more about booth will be good for brennan...get her to realize things.

Lo, I hope you are right. I am so getting tired of all the dancing, lets just get them together already.

I agree Lo. Why not bring Jared into the show earlier? Why not later? He's here for a reason. To move forward the Booth/Bones relationship storyline. Brennan will learn something from Booth's brother. She'll learn about why he is the way he is, and what wonderful qualities he already possesses.

but i was thinking about it today and now im just confused. i mean we treating Bones and Booth like they are a couple or have been, which they haven't really been anything but friends. And it seems weird that Booth would get mad, just because I mean he has no claim over her. I feel like sometimes we assume that they are already involved with each other when technically they're not.

That is true and she has no claim on Booth either. The fact that is Booth's brother, that is what makes the world of difference, this situation could cause a lot of hurt, that mighten be forgotten and could have lasting negative affects. And makes it frankly, too weird for any future B&B hookup if it is taken too far! Jmo

I think we'll just learn things from Jared about Booth this season. Brennan and Jared might date, but it won't last. Let's just face it... Jared is no Sully. Sully was a friggin' saint and that lasted--what?--four episodes?

Bottom Line: Jared doesn't scare me.

Ewww Sully,I didn't like him, he was no friend to Booth at all, asking him how to get Brennan in bed even though he knew Booth liked Brennan puke.

I don't see Jared & Brennan dating, it is one date, that Cam backed out off. If it turns out to be more,I really don't know how I will feel about the B&B ship, there are limits in how far they can push things before it is damaging to any future B&B relationship.
Agree through Jared we will learn more about Booth, but this could be done without involving Brennan
