I gave it a 4...I enjoyed the banter, I loved Wendell...Sweets was great, and Zach...aww...
Didn't like that he was in the diner, though...that was just weird. The case was kinda interesting, too...and there were plenty of laughs, as well as plenty of 'eww' moments.

So, though it wasn't my favorite ep, I did enjoy it.

gave it a 4. Pretty solid over all, not best, however, way above the Yanks epi's.

Loved the Zack interaction in this episode, and the end, talk about a shocker. to quote Cam "Never saw that one coming" I think the writers did it to appease us and our Zack outrage.

The banter btw BB not the best this episode, must better last one, however, I did like Booths explantation at the end for why he is always defending her, he is "being a man, and fixing things"

Did we see the look on Booth's face when Bones got behind him to fix his back- loved it.

I liked the Cam interaction with Hodgins, put that man in his place.

The new intern- well DULL.

I think one of the biggest highlights was the purple pond and the explanation for the color change!!!!

But cant wait to give an episode a 5----- would be a great epi!

Post by Sarah9488 Thu Sep 25, 2008 11:19 pm

So, it got 3.5 skeletons from me. It might have been better than Yanks in the UK which got 4 from me, but that had the long-time-no-Bones-bonus.
It was an average episode. Good, but not special.
First of all, the case wasn't really that interesting. I didn't understand the point of it all. Okay, the mother killed him. I didn't figure that out, but I didn't kept a track list on the suspects. There wasn't even one suspect of whom I thought that he or she might have done it.
We've had Zack back and I thought it was well done until the last scene with Sweets. The scene in the diner didn't even bother me to much. Okay, it was weird that he was allowed to be there - Sweets being the only one to care that this wasn't right - but it showed how much they all miss him and the all times (with Ange and Hodgins sitting next to each other). But then this scene where he admits that he didn't kill him... I dreaded sth like that. And I really do NOT like it. And it didn't make any difference since he didn't want the others to know. So why care? It's too late to change the way I see at Zack now, anyway.
Moreover, I don't think Zack would ever say he killed someone if he didn't do it. Maybe he told gormagon where to find the lobbyist, but he would never call that a murder. He's to literal for that.
The Wendell scenes were kind of funny and they made us see Angela a little more (who seems to be disappearing this season), but I think it doesn't make sense to offer someone who will be leaving anyways so many screentime.
I also enjoyed the scenes with Cam and Hodgins, but overall I missed some of the Brennan/Booth bickering. Though it was cute how he kept protecting her and how she wanted to fix his back - it just wasn't the same...
However, their last scene was lovely, especially when Booth stopped breathing the moment she touched him (awe)...

Wow, my Bones is back!! Yay!!! I'm so happy! For me that was by far the best episode this season so far!

Good case, not as goofy and wannabe-funny as the first 4 episodes, very sweet but not cheesy ending scene between booth and bones, and hello... zach is not a killer!!!!!!!!!!!! That makes everything so much better!! The season3 finale still stays a crappy piece of tv, but at least now we know why the guy jumping out of the closet was definitely not eric millegan, and we don't have to carry that baggage of harmless zach being turned into a psycho murderer around anymore.

And i liked wendell. I for one don't mind the changing interns. I think it's fun. But him they can keep, if they want.

I am so relieved. I was really starting to worry about my favorite show, but now i am really looking forward to the rest of the season! Yay!!!!!

Post by fanofbones Fri Sep 26, 2008 6:51 am

dammit....I gave it a 2.........when I can read the newspaper and just listen to the episode? Not holding my interest here.....lol
On second viewing (for B&B looks) I enjoyed their moments as always...
1. Booth defending her is getting old....let it rest for the love of god...
2. Bones seemed to 'get' some of the jokes/meanings tonight and that was cute...sharing her looks with Booth when they understood them together....thats a nice change....its about time after 3 years or so..
3. Zack was a complete waste of my time....him escaping was laughable even.....Hodgins visit was nice....but has Hodgins not learned anything from Booth? You do not give case files to a murderer to help you solve it...Bren objected to Sweets being brought in, why not objecting to a pyschward patient?
4. I've never accepted the antropologist interrogating the suspect, what would make you think I would accept the therapist doing it?
5. Why are they pushing with Hodgins and his attitude? Funny how Cam didn't really seem to mind them having sex all over the place and jumping each other all day, but she puts him in his place after an epi or two of smart comments....this is a workplace...after all...lol
he should have been put in his place a long time ago, why now?
6. And lastly, I blame the writers for not doing their homework on this one. Bren not knowing that Booth had read her books....hello? WTF?
That is lazy...pure and simple....

After typing all the reasons I could think of....I'm thinking 2 might have been kinda high......lol

i totally agree with fab! especially points 3-6.
i really didn't enjoy that episode. its started off well... i liked how they worked in zack with the 'loony bin' visit from hodgins... i liked booth/bones... tamara taylor was fantabulous again, but there were some really, REALLY awkward moments...

zack escaping. really? he escaped? ok, i can go with that... but booth letting him stick around? booth arrested brennan's father, but he won't take zack back to prison?? and what was with the diner thing? they take him out to dinner?! hello!! something is not right here.

and the angela/intern moment at the end - the first 'Dr. Brennan coming on to me' exchange was hilarious, but the awkward apology? the acting was terrible, but i can't blame the actors... i don't think they were given anything to work with!

i agree with willi and ana about the interns. so, so old. yes, its hilarious that they don't 'fit in', we get it. would the next plot line please stand up!

the end of the ep spoiled a strong start. 2/5 for me. ugh.

I think the episode was okay... I didn't guess the murderer and there were some nice conversations.... wendell thinking brennan was flirting with him, angela's face when he told her.
Booth's face when Brennan 'ate dirt'. The whole shovel and potatoes thing was funny too I think....

I think it was a good episode, nothing outstanding, but good.
Zach as consultant might be a good idea, but him escaping is not something I can just accept. And especially not, how they event take him out to the diner!!! Hello, helping a murderer hide?

Well and surprise, surprise, Zach isn't actually guilty of murder.... that was a big surprise! I'm curious if Sweets will indeed keep his mouth shut or not...

I gave it a 4.
B/B were funny, cute and sexy and defintively back to their usual bickering.
The revelation about Zack came as a surprise to me.
I want that intern back.

2.5 out of 5.
Just watched whole thing today. Some great parts:
Hodgins and Cam (at the lab)
Zach and Hodgins (at the institution)
Sweets, Booth and Brennan (in Jared's Room)

Unfortunately they were overshadowed by the silly parts:
Intern thinking Brennan wanted to have sex with him because she had/has sex with Zach and Booth Shocked

Booth defending Brennan - boring. Like he would hit an FBI agent for saying "Sad comment on your life", I think that is what he said to Brennan.

Zach having meal at diner with friends. HELLO? He escaped from the Mental Institution and used Sweets card to accomplish it.

And if Booth had tickets to the Capital's game why did he end up at Brennan's office? :?:

Best part was ending B&B scene - LOVED IT!
It's like me saying I don't want to be a sexy FBI agent
The look on Booth's face as Brennan put her arms around him

i gave it 4.5 and was definately my favorite episode so far, there wasn't really anything i didn't like. I didn't find the case predictable or cheesy so that was a plus, and enjoyed seeing zack back..and the whole diner thing didn't bother me at all..and i see they are most likely going to bring him back more..as he didn't actually do anything wrong after all..which i could really believe zack in thinking he may as well have been the murderer as he had led gormagon to the victim. I quite liked this intern..definately the best one so far..and sweets was adorable as ever. B and B moments were also cute..rather than a little cringe worthy which i have found them to be lately..overall very good...im finally getting back into the bones spirit..yay x

I was torn between 3 and 3.5, I wanted a 3.25 but it wasn't there.....I'm not sure about this episode...it was kind of mish-mashed and wishy washy, and it didn't flow perfectly.....but I loved it too!! Zack is back, and he's not a killer, and I love that, but on the other hand, it was just weird how everyone was like....Hey Zack what's up buddy? No one was concerned, everything just went on as normal....weird. I thought there were some very funny moments, and touching moments, but for the most part....the case was weird and the episode on a whole not my fave!!

"cringe worthy" haha... yeah, i definitely have to agree, lately those last scenes between b and b have made me cringe too... especially the dog funeral one. uaaagh. those special "moments" between b and be used to bee rare, sweet and subtle, but lately it's just been too much and too much on purpose, kind of cheesy. but i really liked the ending in this episode... that was booth and bones as i like them... with the banter and the awkwardness and the chemistry. very nice. can't wait for wednesday! I hit the wrong button, but wanted to vote the highest I could. I loved this episode. The dynamic between B&B has changed, even better than before. Loved all the playful banter back and forth, of course the usual bickering. Anyone else catch that Booth is definitely not as uptight about Bones discussing sex. My favorite two scenes: When Zack corrected Sweets that he did not kill the Senator.....I knew Zack couldn't have done it, but am confused as to why he doesn't want the team to know and my other favorite, when Booth saved Bone's manuscripts and she fixed his back. This spoke volumes to their ending up together. I agree with Willgirl.....you can't trust the promos, or is it our overactive imaginations that read more into them.
