TV Guide:
8 pm/ET
Dancing with the Stars' second results show of the week delivered 15.7 million total viewers, topping the hour in demos as well. Bones dipped only a bit, placing second with 9.6 million. Knight Rider (7.3 million) slowed down from its TV-movie try-put, shedding 42 percent of that February audience.
The New Adventures of Old Christine faced a new problem — its Wednesday time slot — drawing 6.7 million, a far cry from the 12 million or so it got on Mondays. (Lead-out Gary Unmarried debuted to 6.84 million, showing 102 percent retention.)

TV by the Numbers - Nielsen Overnight Ratings:
This week’s third Dancing with the Stars won the 8-9 hour and was the most watched show of the night with 15.568 million viewers and an 18-49 demo rating of 3.6. Still strong, but it’s trending downward noticeably from Monday and Tuesday nights. Bones, a tick below its results last week, won the hour’s and the night’s 18-34 demo crown with a 2.7 rating. The premiere of Knight Rider barely got out of the garage. It was third in viewers and the 18-49 demo, and a punishing 4th in the 18-34 demo. The CBS premieres of The New Adventures of Old Christine and Gary Unmarried stayed in the garage, not reaching Knight’s viewership or 18-49 demo and being absolutely buried in the 18-34 demo. America’s Next Top Model lost 4% of its viewers and was stable in the demos from last week, and was second in the 18-34 demo for the hour.

Ratings: 'CSI: NY' Scores for CBS Wednesday
Eye's comedies, 'Knight Rider' don't fare so well
September 25, 2008
Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008
CBS' pair of crime dramas carried the network to a ratings victory Wednesday, even though the debut of its new comedy block didn't fare especially well.
For the night, CBS averaged a 7.9 rating/13 share, beating out ABC's 6.7/11 for the lead. NBC took third with a 5.1/8. FOX, 4.3/7, came in fourth, and The CW trailed with a 2.1/3. (Numbers for each of the Big Four networks may change some because of a live presidential address at 9 p.m. ET.)
CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.5 rating. ABC took second with a 2.9. NBC, 2.5, finished third, followed by FOX, 2.3, and The CW, 1.6.
The "Dancing with the Stars" results show ruled the 8 p.m. hour for ABC with a 10.3/17. FOX's "Bones" came in second. The premiere of "Knight Rider" managed only a 4.5/7 for NBC, though that was good enough to edge out "The New Adventures of Old Christine," 4.4/7, and the debut of "Gary Unmarried," 4.5/7, on CBS. "America's Next Top Model" drew a 2.7/4 for The CW.
All four major networks aired President Bush's address from 9 to about 9:15 p.m. After that, the "Criminal Minds" season premiere scored a 9.4/14 to move CBS into the lead. NBC moved up to second with "America's Got Talent," 6.5/10. ABC's special "David Blaine: Dive of Death" drew a 5.6/9, topping the 2.7/4 for "'Til Death" and "Do Not Disturb" on FOX. The CW aired a repeat of Tuesday's "90210."
The "CSI: NY" season premiere posted a 9.8/16 for CBS at 10 p.m. The David Blaine special on ABC and the "Lipstick Jungle" season premiere on NBC each drew a 4.3/7, with ABC grabbing a few more total viewers.
Ratings information is taken from fast national data, which includes live and same-day DVR viewing. All numbers are preliminary and subject to change.

'David Blaine's Dive of Death' disappoints in ratings
Sep 25, 2008, 03:28 PM | by Tim Stack
While it was slightly delayed due to President Bush's address on the current financial crisis, ABC's much-hyped two-hour David Blaine special still proved to be a dud with only 7.7 million viewers, according to overnight ratings. David Blaine's Dive of Death (pictured) lost more than half of its Dancing With the Stars lead-in audience (15.6 million). The illusionist could not compete with CBS' Criminal Minds which won the 9-10 p.m. hour with 15.1 million, up 19 percent from last year's premiere of 12.7 million. NBC's America's Got Talent also dipped in viewership with 10.3 million, down from last week's 12 million. But the biggest ratings bomb of the night would have to be Fox's 'Til Death which only saw about 4.1 million viewers.
At 10 p.m., CSI: NY was also up from last year's premiere (12.7 million) with a quite impressive 15.6 million viewers, building slightly on Minds' audience. NBC's Lipstick Jungle season 2 premiere only earned 6.1 million viewers, down from its 7.5 million debut last February.
Earlier in the evening, CBS' new comedy block of The New Adventures of Old Christine and rooke series Gary Unmarried were not met with much laughter, rating just 6.7 million and 6.8 million, respectively. NBC's flashy reboot of Knight Rider also bombed with a sorry 7.3 million, a big drop from the 12.7 million people that watched the network's February TV movie. Elsewhere, Fox's Bones continued to perform solidly with 9.6 million while The CW's America's Next Top Model reached 4.1 million eyes.
