I finally finished the entire Angel series last night.

I loved seasons 1-3. Season 4 was eh and Season 5 sucked big bad rotten eggs (except for the one Episode Cordelia was in).

I've started back at the beginning of Angel, while I am about to start Season 5 of Buffy.

cheers I love it! Is that from the scene where he's standing by the tree smoking all the cigarettes, and she finally notices? That's what I'm thinking, but I'm not even sure I'm remembering it correctly now?!

... and an explanation ... hmmm ... I have to admit that my Buffy is kind of rusty now. I'd go back and rewatch it if I'd ever get off the computer! All I'm thinking is that Spike deep down is just no good - and that's what turns him on. It gives him purpose - striving for her love. And then there's the plain ol' slayer part of it. I hope I'm not spoiling anything, but Spike has killed two slayers, and that's a big part of his ego. And now with Buffy, doing her is better than doing her in!

I may have missed that one by a mile, but without going back and doing some homework that's the best I can do! Does it help, even a little, or was it what you already could've figured?

You got the scene right! I was taking a swig of my Diet Dr Pepper when he said that and spewed it all over my bed. LOL....funniest line EVER! And with the finger counting thing, it's just hilarious! I knew you'd appreciate it. Wink

You must be right about why he's so into her, because honestly, the girl has treated him beyond badly. Talk about an abusive relationship? But of course, in her defense, he's not exactly a prince to her for the majority of the show either.

I have 3 episodes left of the series and I'll be done. I have to admit, I enjoyed Angel better (except for season 5! God I hated Season 5 of Angel!!) but I now own all of both series so I can go back and pick and choose my episodes to watch.

I found a board online that's about all things Joss, so there's a section for all his shows and Dr Horrible too. LOL....Anyway, Amber Benson (Tara) did a little 20 question Q&A with them and it's so much fun to read! Someone asked if Tara hadn't been romantically paired with Willow, who she would like to have seen Tara play opposite in the romance department...her answer? "Xander and Angel and Spike, oh my!!" LMAO

Now I want to go back and watch that episode! I just might do that tonight; it sounds fun, especially the spewing part!

Are you talking about Whedon-esque? Or is it a board like this is a board? I'd like to read it if you'll post the link. After reading your post I went to Joss's site and found something that some of our Tweeters might find interesting. Here's a page with Twitter accounts for the actors in Buffy, Angel and Firefly (the ones who tweet).

This is a poll that I saw earlier today on IMDb.com - as a daily poll, so it's almost over.

Humans and vampires make hot couples. Which of the following is your
favorite?

I don't really like any of these couples. 2354
(20.3%)

Angel (David Boreanaz) and Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) of
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" 2109
(18.2%)

Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) of
"True Blood" 1502
(13.0%)

Spike (James Marsters) and Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) of
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" 1317
(11.4%)

My choice isn't on this list. 1286
(11.1%)

Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) of
Twilight 1271
(11.0%)

I have no opinion. 1150
(9.9%)

Mick St. John (Alex O'Loughlin) and Beth Turner (Sophia Myles) of
"Moonlight" 267
(2.3%)

Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) and Victoria Winters (Alexandra Isles)
of "Dark Shadows" 142
(1.2%)

Det. Nicholas 'Nick' Knight (Geraint Wyn Davies) and Dr. Natalie Lambert
(Catherine Disher) of "Forever Knight" 124
(1.1%)

Barnabas Collins (Ben Cross) and Victoria Winters (Joanna Going) of
"Dark Shadows" 76
(0.7%)

A total of 11598 votes were collected.

If I were voting Cordy and Angel would be my first choice followed by Beth and Mick from Moonlight. I like Twilight, but I like Jacob better than Edward, so Edward can jump into a heavy wooden stake. LOL

Interesting results though. I just watched a Dark Shadows Reunion DVD...I loved that show!!

Buffy/Angel fans - Page 13 Empty for you Christian Kane/Eliot Spencer fans ...

Post by DBCrazy Thu Jul 30, 2009 1:34 pm

Here's a little something that I found thanks to Kiz over on IMDb.com

[Only admins are allowed to see this link]

IESB: Did you have any idea at all, when you did the first episode of Angel, that those fans would still be with you and still be so supportive?

Christian: Yeah, I did. There was no doubt in my mind. My best friend is David Boreanaz. When you play Angel, you can pretty much wrap it up. You're going to be Angel for the rest of your life. I feel sorry for James Van Der Beek. He's going to be Dawson forever. And, David is in the same boat. I told David, "You better come up with something quick, dude, because it's going to be over for you. You're Angel." And, the fans would not have it. He went to Bones and they followed him, and now he's on a successful show and you no longer look at David Boreanaz as Angel. You look at him as a successful and well-deserved actor. So, I knew it because I have the same fans as David. I knew that they would carry over. I do a lot of conventions in England and I put my time in. I love meeting these people, I love shaking their hands, I love giving them hugs because I really don't exist without them. I'm not going to downplay it by saying, "Oh, I'm so happy that they came over. I really didn't know if they would." Bullshit, man. These fans are diehard and hardcore, and I knew they'd be there for me because that's the people that they are.

Post by DBCrazy Fri Jul 31, 2009 12:40 pm

moonlight, good going on finishing up Buffy and Angel. You went through on a similar pace as I did! It's a pretty good ride. Very Happy

Here's a clip I found about Alexis Denisof. I haven't seen him on anything since ... Angel reruns.

Today's News: Our Take
Dollhouse Opens Its Doors to More Whedonverse Alumni

Joss Whedon said a lot of things his fans wanted to hear at
Dollhouse's San Diego Comic-Con panel — and at least one thing
that had many of the show's faithful viewers biting their nails.

Whedon kicked off the panel by raving that the staff he assembled for
the Fox series' freshman run was "the best" first-season staff he has
ever worked with. So expect no major changes there.

As far as on-camera talent, the auteur announced that at least two
Whedonverse alumni could show up on Dollhouse. Alexis Denisof,
aka Angel's Wesley, is a sure bet to guest star in multiple
Season 2 episodes, he said. This past TV season, Denisof had a brief
run on ABC's Private Practice.

Also — and as has been rumored ever since Terminator: The Sarah
Connor Chronicles'
cancelation — former Firefly cast member
Summer Glau is on Whedon's wish list, though nothing has been set in
stone yet.

Buffy/Angel fans - Page 13 Empty Re: Buffy/Angel fans

Post by i_heart_bones Thu Aug 06, 2009 1:59 pm

Over a decade ago there was another vampire phenomenon taking over the psyche of teens everywhere. And that was "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." The story of a slayer, Buffy, falling in love with a vampire, Angel, became an instant sensation when the show made its debut on the now defunct network, The WB in 1997.

So, with "Twilight" mania taking over the world these days, how does "Buffy" creator, Joss Whedon, feel about the franchise? Long story short, he's cool with it.

"I don't get this whole vampire romance thing. I mean that could never happen. Who would believe that? It seems so stupid. I literally thought that when I created the character if Angel," he told MTV News. "I thought a vampire romance with a slayer ... people are going to laugh me out of the room. They'll never go for it. Clearly I was wrong. There's something really timeless about it. I saw 'Twilight'… there's something primal about that story. You can't get away from it. It works like gangbusters."

But, the big question is: Who would win in a fight: Edward Cullen or Angel? "I think Robert Pattinson is really cool. Angel would kick the s**t out of him. He's Angelus," Whedon said without even flinching. "There's no Edward Cullunus. He just gets shiny in the sun. Boreanaz would have him down in a heartbeat. No offense, cause he's hot."

haha Edward Cullunus...
