New Episode - Mayhem on the Cross

A casting call has gone out for a new episode - Mayhem on the Cross.

Characters include Dr Wyatt (!), Pinworm, Grinder, Murderbreath, Serena, Dr. Solberg, Mayhem, and Wrath. It sounds pretty interesting!

Dr. Sweets (John Francis Daly) and Dr. Wyatt (Stephen Fry) see beneath his on-stage persona and get him to give up information that could lead to the killer's true identity...

does this mean that S. Fry is back? that'd be awesome!!!!

I was just reminded that Hart Hanson had an interview shortly after or before the Perfect Pieces episode. He mentioned that Stephen Fry (Dr. Wyatt) might return and give Sweets some advice about the information that Zack gave him. Maybe we'll get a bit of a resolution on that end. I'm excited to see this episode. It sounds fascinating in every aspect.

oh that'd be great. i know zack probably won't be coming back for good.. and i guess that's okay, shows need to progress.. but i was SO glad to find out he wasn't a killer. i was so mad after the finale, but that appeased me a little.

oh mama, you mean that tid bit of info that Sweets might need to talk about the secret Zack told him with another professional? this is where Dr. Wyatt comes in? that actually makes sense...

I think it's okay for me to say that I'm looking into Stephen Fry's availability because I think he would be the ideal person to help Sweets figure out how to deal with that. But, Zack is still in our minds. His name is hanging up there on the boards in the writer's room as to what cases he would be useful in, that he could organically fit into."

do you have any idea how many episodes were ordered for this season? we have 20 so far, right?

Somebody mentioned it once... but I think it was twenty episodes that were ordered for this season...

I did a count, and including episodes yet to be aired or filmed, we're up to twenty (that's combining UK1 &2 into one episode). There should be more! Or I'm striking!

so either Mayhem is the season's finale or we get more... but do they really want to do another finale about Zack? as much as I adore his character, I still think they should do something different...

They haven't gotten B&B in bed yet and from the sound of it, it wasn't written yet, either. I'm sure that we'll know as soon as the script is out that this is the finale... I'm sure it'll be bizarre or different in some way. My guess is that it's set in the future, but that's just me...

you mean the "alternate reality" epi? you're right, the sides we have don't suggest any BB in bed action or dream sequences...

This is odd... perhaps Fox gave Hanson more episodes? I really hope so. I feel bummed knowing that we're so close to the end of the season!

hmm, so the last official word is 20 epis? I hope there is more... besides, in the recent interviews, both DB and ED said they had no idea about how the bed scene would play out, suggesting that the script is not ready yet...

Exactly my thoughts. They must have been picked up for more. *thanks Fox* It's the only thing that makes sense. Season One had twenty-two episodes, Season Two had twenty-one episodes... so they have to have at least one or two more if they were picked up for more... I'm really curious now. I guess it's all a guessing game as far as that goes. I'm so glad that no writer's strikes have truncated this season!

And yeah, I'm fairly sure they decided to extend the season. Fox is finally catching on

De-lurking (waves to everyone) to say with regards to the number of episodes, I'm sure I read somewhere that someone in the UK had seen a TV Guide with the number of the episode listed as 5/26 (the fifth of 26 epis). I'm not sure if that's helpful or not, though.

I'll have a little dig through to see if I can find anything.

Found a link - the Radio Times has it:

The Con Man in the Meth Lab is listed as 9/26. I take that to mean the ninth episode of 26... unless I'm very much mistaken! Ninth is 'right' if you count Yanks as one episode, I think. Agh, I'm confusing myself.
