Hey Deb!

I have very thick, very heavy, straight hair that has the tiniest kink and too much volume. So that if I don't at least finish the drying with blow drying, there's no point even considering leaving it down. Pony tail. All the time. or plaits.

Seriously!!

All we got here was wet rain...
I'd rather rain.

You're just annoyed because the snow is interfereing with everyday life Wink What's up with that??
See rant sent to bess. lol

heehee. Just seen it.

We all want what we can't/don't have. I want curly hair. Mine is straight as a poker. Can't have it. much like snow. I live in Ireland, therefore until global warming makes a serious impact, it'll just be wet.
ok... i'm only gonna say this once, so pay attention... people with straight hair are SO LUCKY!!! i have to spend so long on mine to stop it looking like a fluffy frizzy mess!!!!

But my sister has beautiful curly hair. Well wavey, with some big, soft ringletty type parts. So pretty.

I'd love curls. I can put them in with an entire can of hairspray and about two hours with the GHD, but that's an awful lot of effort...
well then your sister is bloody lucky!! and at least you can curl your hair... even my hairdresser can;t get mine to stay straight!!
*nods in agreement* and if they do manage to get it remotely straight it only last a couple of hours if that.

So at times, trying to get here, can get you more stressed, lol

I did ashtanga yoga for a couple of years, but then my instrictor moved and there isn't another class of that type near me at a good time. It was sooooo good. They have hatha yoga in the college gym which is much more slow moving, but that would probably be good for me. A bit of time off the lab. Because that is all I've thought about of late....
i tried ashtanga yoga and it made me pass out and so the instructor was like "ummm.... maybe you should try something else.." so i did pilates instead!

There's a brilliant pilates class run in college but it's at lunch time and I don't like the long disruption to my day, so I stopped going. It's run by the college physiotherapist and BOY do you feel stretched and toned after her class.

they're really great. She's a super physio too. I've gone to her with ankle problems and she is the best physio I've ever had. I don't know what I'll do when i have left!!
screw breaking up the middle of your day i say, if you like the class and your instructor!! i'm still trying to find a class i like that is more dance oriented and working toward flexibility and strength in those weird muscles that you generally don;t need in life but somehow always do in dance.....

I've tried, but the class is an hour long, so leave lab fifteen mins before, get to gym and change, do class, change after, back to lab, eat some lunch, back to work. It's easily an hour and a half out of the middle of the day. It just breaks it up too much for me. I sort of lose my flow, if that makes sense.
i guess that makes sense...... i'm just the type of person that has to have breaks or i just sit there staring into space doing nothing for hours at a time....

Plaits, with a wide satiney hairband over the first few inches of my head to effectively hide the half-grown out fringe....works like a charm every time.
