Letters to Santa (K+?)
While I brainstorm for my other story, I decided to write something amusing for my "say what you want" in my profile. I decided to share it. And possibly write more over the course of the holidays. Just for laughs...
Dear Mr. Claus,
Although I do not believe in perpetuating the myth of a morbidly obese man who can magically fly reindeer across the world, I think I will go ahead and put pen to paper and ask for this one thing on the slight chance that you might receive the letter. I would like to see my partner, Seeley Booth (you know him, or rather you ought to, considering who you possibly are, if you exist, that is), to be wrapped in nothing but a bow on my doorstep Christmas morning.
Yours sincerely, Temperance Brennan

Re: Letters to Santa (K+?)
Dear Santa,
Despite the fact that you possibly represent the delusional psychosis of billions of people, I also recognize the whimsy that the Santa Claus figure epitomizes. Plus, I totally believe in you. Just don't tell anyone. I would lose all credibility.
So, this year, I'd love to have a rare Star Wars #37 Concept Starkiller Hero. Talk about wicked sweet! And if it's not too much, I'm totally digging one of those acid free polystyrene action figure cases.

Re: Letters to Santa (K+?)
Dear Santa Claus,
I don't even know why I'm doing this. Sweets thought it would be good therapy. Now I'm just wishing the security guard didn't take my side-arm whenever I came into the lab. Next time, Booth... Next time... Look at Bones over there. She's probably tellingSanta you exactly why you can't exist. But she sure looks damn cute.
OK. What do I want? I've got everything. A beautiful son. A great career. Scratch that. There's one thing. One thing I can never have. I don't see how writingSan you can make all of that happen.
I want Bones. To hold her and kiss her and wake up on Christmas morning with her in my arms.
Yeah, now I really want my gun.
Run, Sweets. Run!
P.S. If you read this, Sweets, I'm gonna hunt you down. And I'm a sniper-trained FBI Agent.
Booth

Dear Santa,
Shoes.
Love, Angela
(Was that too short, Sweets? Or would you like me to draw you a picture? I can do that, you know.)

Re: Letters to Santa (K+?)
Sweets,
The Santa Claus notion is just a corporate conspiracy designed to fuel economic growth. It's the presidential answer to a downward spiraling economy. If it wasn't for the fact that Americans have diluted and twisted the whole holiday, I'd it 50 years tops before we're all be huddled in caves singing Sinatra ballads.
Besides, I'm loaded. I don't need a fat dude squeezing through my chimney for a couple of stale candy canes.

I'll be back with Cam's letter tomorrow. And I'll probably be writing more from other characters like Zack, Max, Parker, etc...

Hmmm...just wondering....I know Dr B lives in an apartment block and her doorstep wouldn't be as chilly as a snowy street...but wouln't her present be better left at the end of her bed? (Logically it's much less further to travel Christmas morning!!!! )...or is it too much trouble for a mythical morbidly obese man? *quickly runs away!*

Say What You Want : A Reporter sat under a Fig Tree one night,
"Where art thou Booth?" She said.
The lightning went Flash!
The tree went Crash!
And squashed the Reporter quite dead.
*Sigh* Isn't poetry lovely?

Re: Letters to Santa (K+?)
Thanks everyone! If you all want to write letters on this thread, that would be great!
I just got a call from my sister. She needs me to watch my mom. She just got out of the hospital and needs help going potty, etc. So I won't be on for a few days. Hopefully only a couple. I really was on a roll with my Between Sleep and Awake story. Guess I'll have to put that new chappie on hold. Sorry, everyone.

Re: Letters to Santa (K+?)
Forensic Mama, I hope your mother is up and around in no time! In the meantime I'm going to try my hand at a letter to Santa - it's been a while though.
Of course we all know that our favorite characters wouldn't make it to air without a huge cast and crew. And it wouldn't have a reason to be made without the millions of fans who eagerly sit down each week to watch - WHEN THEY AREN'T OUT FOREVER ON HIATUS! So, being an integral part of the show I am ... here goes.
Dear Santa,
I know you've been getting more letters from grownups than usual, but that's ForensicMama's doing, not mine!
I hope I've left you enough time for this ... and that I've finally made the Nice List this year. If I have, there's this really cool toy that I've been seeing on TV. It's very techy, so I hope your elves have the skills to make one for me. I'll for sure need them to get me a copy of the Help documentation and any kind of tutorials there might be for it. It's designed to be used as an investigative application, but I assure you that I'm not trying to get free office equipment from you. I'll use it purely for recreational purposes - I promise! It's called the Angelator (patent pending), and your elves will have to go to the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, D.C. to find the prototype.
I hope you have a Merry Christmas! And don't work too hard this year, okay.
Love,
DB Crazy
Oh, and one more thing. You might want to wrap Booth in a flannel bow, or at least a velvet bow, when you drop him off at Dr. Brennan's. With one of those satin bows I could see him catching a pretty nasty cold, and we wouldn't want that, now would we!
And if I didn't make the Nice List, but I at least came close ... would you just pinch Booth on the cheek for me, please!

Re: Letters to Santa (K+?)
Oh, my mom's doing better. She's very wobbly b/c of an unidentified infection. We sat down doing paperwork about her last rites (If that's what it's called...) You know, tube feeding, but no oxygen support. That sort of thing. I'm actually surprised she's made it to 55 with the way her health is. I'm glad that I'm the one doing this with my mom and not my sisters or dad. They aren't too good at compartmentalizing... not to sound cold or anything... I guess I'm just better in that area. After my brother died, everyone went into depression or something of the sort, but me. So to spare them pain, it's better that it's me. I think she'll recover and this isn't "it", but it will be within the decade.
Anyhow, to sum up, I might be gone this week for a few days to look after her. The only worry is that she'll lose her balance and fall. She's doing better otherwise.

Heehee. Mama-this is brilliant! When I commented on your letter in between sleep and insanity I hadn't seen this yet. Much as i LOVE all the letters, if I can't have Booth in my stocking, then I'd like Angela's list.
LMAO!!
You gave a little more details about you mom here. I'm really sorry to hear all that. I hope she's ok, and gets better, and I hope you're ok too xx

Re: Letters to Santa (K+?)
Thanks everyone. I'm doing fine. It's more my sisters who I worry about. I wonder how they'll take her passing, but I just won't think about that now. She may die five years from now, so no need to worry now.
Re: Letters to Santa (K+?)
Dear Santa,
Do you honestly want to know what I want for Christmas? I would love for once in my career for anything I say to bear a little weight. You'd think that their being cyborgs would make this easier, but it just isn't. Where's Jean-Claude Van Damme when you need him?
Speaking of being tied up, I could use a half a dozen Chip N Dale Dancers. That would be nice. Just slide those under mysheets tree.

I'm just sitting here giggling like a loony.
The housemates are going to have me sectioned soon, lol.
Also, pretty avatar. Actually, pretty profile in general. I'm going to have to jazz mine up. That could rack up hours of procrastination
