It's wrong to keep a kid from it parent unless their is abuse involved or the kid is old enough to make up it's own mind and it don't wanna see the parent.

jonezy, honestly it's just too sad. Must be difficult to cope with the situation. I can only hope nothing similar will ever happen to me. And you still love your wife... I feel a bit depressed - for you I mean. Let me state I am not joking now. I feel for you. Maybe one day....who knows.

I went through a very interesting time of discovery. When she first left I only missed my kids and was angry. Two years later I realized I loved her more than my children. Three years now past that, I've let her go. I had to come to terms with the fact I could not fundamentally change myself to be acceptable to her - not in any permanent way. Also, it would have been terribly unbalanced to have all the change to be mine and none for her. She does not recognize there were actually things about her that were less than ideal. She does not conceive that I made allowance and built in tolerance for her less than wonderful aspects. I am also an expressive and very physical guy. Not something she could ever reciprocate although she loved me completely at one time. None of those things would be corrected or better if we could restore the relationship. It's not painful anymore. I've never been one to pine. But, she was my wife. That is the relationship that is the exception to all others. I meant until death. It has left me wondering if that now means a few decades of solitude. I don't know.
