Hmmm...looks like we may get a storm here. I love thunderstorms...unless we lose power, then I will be pissed.

A little more insight into jonezy. In Kindergarten I walked home all 19 girls in my class. I walked them home in geographic proximity to the school. The "pack" (herd", "gaggle," flock," pride"?) would wait at the end of the walk as I individually escorted each to her door and gave her a little peck on the cheek. Then I would rejoin the troupe and continue until all were safely home. It took me an extra 45 minutes to get home each afternoon.

By 6th grade I realized guys were boring and sitting with the girls at lunch was a whole lot more interesting. Being fought over for who would steal my candy bar from lunch was something to look forward to each day.

A few months ago, I was terribly bored and lonely and had way too much time on my hands (so why do anything productive?) and found a discussion on an episode of Bones and jumped in. Some of you may know evi, from this forum, but more from her blog - Obsessed with Bones? She and I engaged in some warfare that resulted her in inviting me to her blog to spare all of the others where we first sparred.

We then exchanged email and have been fast friends. We both write, among other things, so we are encouraging one another in those pursuits. I am the champion of everything she does and she plays Wilson to my House. She and the ABY are going to be doing podcasts together so I decided I would join and get familiar with the crowd she speaks so highly of from over here.

I am known by another name on her blog and have a whiny, misogynistic blog of my own.

OK, now for my good news .... Just booked our California vacation for end of September! Can't believe we are going. My son is going to be sooooooooooo excited that he is going to LEGOLAND We have a car so will go to beach in Carslbad, LEGOLAND and San Diego is 1/2 hour south so we will go there. Found a great Hotel. No LA though. Was told it is VERY busy to drive around in I really don't want to spend my holiday on a freeway.

That sounds like a great trip. Personally - Legoland would be a prime destination for me.

Among the many strange twists and turns of my life I have driven those highways - in a Tractor-Trailer. A car will be far easier.

Snoop, that's great! Though sadly, it's on the other end of the country for me... And I love to drive, but I'm with you about city driving...you all know about my problems in Boston...lol

Haha, it was in my journal that I posted about our Boston trip, but basically, it took us an hour to get to the hotel from the turnpike, even though it was only a mile an a half away... Just trust me, if you ever go to Boston, take the 'T'...
