Really, any quality show on any of the "networks" (ABC, Fox, NBC, CBS) is likely to be cancelled far too early... Pushing Daisies, Freaks and Geeks, My So-Called Life, Wonderfalls, Arrested Development... and that's just what's coming to mind right now.

it's not you... it's the networks. (and as much as I want that to be a "it's not you, it's me joke... it's really not.) Anytime they have a remotely good show they cancel it too early. Or then take one and milk it for all it's worth until it's unrecognizable (Scrubs, Simpsons).

The british do it SO much better. Shorter seasons, and only a few of them. Ends up the same amount of quality episodes as the American shows without the heartache. (and disintegration at the end)
