And no problem with the typing. I'm kinda pressed for time that's all and I was wondering if you were detained somewhere else.

your birthday of course
No. I've been dreading this one for about 6 months now. First time a birthday's bothered me. I always felt like people were dramatizing when they dreaded a birthday. Now I understand.

My sister will make me a devil's food cake. That's been my only birthday requirement for ages now.

no need to dread yet
once you turn 90 you can start with that sort of thing
now you are supposed to just enjoy the day and all the attention you get
I have no desire to make 90 years old, believe me. Rolling Eyes I don't like dreading it, but it's still there. Hopefully that feeling will go away once it's passed.

peeps from here, however, didn't want to meet me Laughing

so I am at a loss here
I was to NY and Boston before
I would like to see Washington of course maybe Philadelphia that's supposed to be a nice city and Orlando and Miami did sound interesting too
but I think it would be best if I didn't travel around too much because I might have to starve if I can't afford food anymore

and the page where I found it just deleted it apparently

Washington and Philadelphia sound like you're looking for history, while Orlando and Miami sound like you're looking for fun. That's a good mix. I know what you mean about traveling around though. It can get expensive. How are you planning to travel once you get here? Bus/train/plane?

As far as that molerat goes, I did hate looking at that sucker, but in the interest of personal choice, you can find that same pic out there on the [Only admins are allowed to see this link] I went looking and saw him, minus the wording. tongue

I'm looking for something else to put in its place now
everyone was kinda disgusted by the little guy
I think he was cute, but I have to admit that my taste can be strange

I'm not specifically looking for history, but you are right they are good cities for that kind of stuff
and I'm not sure if I will travel around at all, maybe I'll just pick one area and stay there for a while
if I'd only find someone to go with me this would be a lot easier though, traveling alone is not as much fun and I will get lost for sure nervous

I wish you could find someone to travel with too. It would be a bit daunting to go alone, especially if you didn't want to. A huge plus on your side though is you speak the language flawlessly, so that won't be any barrier.

I'm not so much one to go and see the sights, as I am just to hunker down in among the locals. I went to New Orleans in college and just hung out. It is a tourist town though. And it was one of the first times that I'd ever been in a real city!

well a lot actually

and my english is a lot worse when I have to use it in spoken form, but I think I would be fine

maybe I should just post in the non bones topics thread

Yeah, don't worry about your english. Whatever your trouble might be speaking I'm sure will disappear. You know the language, that's most important.

As for the posting, that could work out great actually! That might even be a great idea. I've already told you that you can stop here if you want to or need to. It's not really anything terribly fun to do, it is in the US.

Do you like to backpack or camp or go out on the lake?

It's got me wondering what I'd do if I went off somewhere by myself. Hmmm.

I know one thing for sure, I wouldn't go to castles. I had my fill of that when I was a kid. In Poland, we went to the castle in Krakow and I was so bored after just a few minutes, except for discovering the wall coverings. It looked like wallpaper, but when I asked about them it was hand-painted, hand-tooled leather! These rooms were huge and there were a lot of them too. It was gorgeous.

Really!? Oh, ToZ, you have to go camping! That is if you like the outdoors. If you don't, well, then you might be horrified by it.

What I recall of campgrounds in Germany was that they were almost parking lots. It's a whole lot different here. Mostly. I'm sure some are cramped, but most aren't. There are plenty that are really nice.

One of the things I've learned about Kentucky is that it has the longest natural cave system in the world. A few years ago I took the boys on a tour. That was cool! Actually, it was waay cool!

And there's a place nearby that's a fake Australia! They do a pretty good job of it too. They have kangaroos and wallabees and koalas. They let you throw boonerangs and play diggeriedoos. There's a lot more that I'm not remembering, but it was fun too.

LOL! Are you getting excited for Kentucky yet, ToZ!? Razz
