I have a male friend explaining to me that it's different for guys. I think it's just cause he doesn't have to have hairy armpit slime to stick his nose in.

I get where the author was trying to go with it... but it read more as jolting and totally detracted from the mood and instead of...oooh yum... I went...oooooooh ewwww nasty... vomit... I don't give a donkey's behind what you do next I will forever be haunted by Kate sticking her nose in Sawyer's pits and getting a good whiff of the days unwashed baking in the sun man.... gag.

yes well I was refering to between a man and a woman... my friend was trying to explain that any contact is better than no contact... I however think this is because on his end he would have a nicer area to put his nose that she would.
