Kathy Reichs novels
Has anyone read the Kathy Reichs novels? Are they good? I've been considering giving them a try.

Re: Kathy Reichs novels
Geeez what a question
of course I read them.....every single one of them
and they are all great!
although I don't like the third(?) one all that much.....it's still good, but something is missing......don't wanna say too much though

Re: Kathy Reichs novels
They're great. I'm re-reading Deja Dead right now. It's the first in the series. That's the thing with her books, they hold up over time. DD is just as good a read as Devil Bones (the latest one so far).

Re: Kathy Reichs novels
Depends on what kind of a reader you are. If you fon't like long books, than they aren't for you. They are good, of course, but it just depends on what kind of a reader you are.Shelly wrote:Has anyone read the Kathy Reichs novels? Are they good? I've been considering giving them a try.

Re: Kathy Reichs novels
Thats you. Not everyone is you. Believe me, I know people who think anything over 200 is long. A lot of people don't like to read.

It's not that they're dumb. It's just that they don't like to read for pleasure. I know some really smart people who don't like to read. One of them even got a 1590* on the SAT and a scholarship to YALE. He doesn't read much for pleasure.
*In case you don't know, a 1590 is 10 points short of a perfect score.

Re: Kathy Reichs novels
LOL, thanks for the feedback guys! Well, it just so happens that I actually love to read and when it comes to a great series I say the longer the better (anyone a Harry Potter fan? How about the Outlander series...? wonderful story, and I think the shortest one was 600 pages), so I am headed off to Barns and Noble right now in search of the first one. Thanks again guys!

Re: Kathy Reichs novels
Well, I just started Deja Dead, and I LOVE it so far! She's a fabulous writer! I am very impressed. Her imagery breathtaking. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I find it so sad that mystery/thriller authors get knocked for being the cheap junk food of literature when there is genuine talent out there (Stephen King to name just one).

LOL, I'm always leaving words out when I type. It's like my brain thinks it, and doesn't catch on that I never actually typed it. haha. Interesting that my brain thinks I typed words that I didn't type, and your brain adds words in that aren't really there, haha.
