Could the "Love Triangle" be Bones, the new "Director," and Angela??

I love that she talks about Booth on the date.

Ok, if Booth would just answer the question truthfully when someone asks him" I just want to make sure I am not getting in the middle of anything between you two" or "I want to make sure you are ok with it", if he would just answer those with his true feelings, then we could get out of this RUT, and then there is Brennan she mentions Booth and then says "I perfer not to talk about Booth anymore" why do you feel guiltly, or what??? from the sides for for the other episodes, I was thinking we had some progress, but now I dont know.

And don't even get me started on Booth! Oh No...It's fine you go right ahead and take my girl DELETE AS APPROPRIATE: Sully, Jared, Andrew...Anyone else?

I'm going away to breathe into a brown paper bag. (Maybe I'll stock up on some anti-depressants and antacids?) And if all else fails...I'll do what us English are famous for head butt someone...HH? have a nice cuppa tea!

Ah Tink, I feel your pain I really do. This is why Booth needs to cowboy up and act like he's got a pair. Seriously the man needs to either tell Brennan how he really feels or play the same game. He should get a date with a drop dead gorgeous blond doctor or laywer and flaunt it. As it is he's just acting like a eunuch and that's hardly a winning plan.

And I can't even blame Brennan! How much "Someday" "Eventually" "One person for everyone" "It's worth it" "Making love/two people become one" and "You will" Can one person stand? Before they begin to think...Obviously he's not talking about himself here...So I'll just have to shift my little anthropological butt and find THE MAN who is THE ONE.

You know what though? It's not even Brennan going on a date that bothers me. (And BTW, we FINALLY get to meet the new DD? It only took four years. )

It was this that bugged me:

Booth: She might have said something about that.
Andrew: I just want to make sure there's nothing going on between the two of you. Wouldn't want to get in the middle.
Booth: (beat, then;) Us? God, no. Strictly professional.
Andrew: You sure?
Booth: Yeah, it's fine. I'm good.

Now, obviously we don't get inflection and expression from sides. But come on. COME ON. Obviously he can't reveal to his boss that he's, you know, in love with his partner. Still, why would his reaction be like that? "God, no."--That's the Booth from a season or two ago, not the one who's come to the realization of how he feels. *bangs head against wall*

Also, why can't Brennan be jealous for once? I know there was Perotta VERY briefly but that wasn't serious at all. I'm just afraid of him fading into the role of supportive best friend; the guy who still harbors the crush, but quickly becomes nothing more than "What might have been."

And also, in rumors I read a week or two ago, I read they were supposed to be giving Cam a love interest, and that he was supposed to be FBI. As in possibly the director. Apparently not, but come on. The woman needs a little action, too.

Yeah. Andrew can go out with Cam. He really does not need to get in the middle of the BB mess!

See now..."So Young" could be a dig at Booth (like when Booth calls Sweets 12! ) as could the whole "Food chain" thing?
But it could also be Andrew using his FBI spidey sense thinking that something is not quite right. (Hey Andrew RUN! Run for the hills and don't look back! Save yourself before it's too late! )

Honestly, though? I don't like it, but at least Brennan is finally dating a guy Booth isn't obligated to do a background check on first. Although, considering the fact Kenton kidnapped her and Sully's....possibly maybe lying on the bottom of the Carribean by now...the FBI doesn't exactly have the best choices either. Except Mr.FBEyecandy himself, of course.

Yeah. Brennan does not have the best track record with guys and dates.
You never know Andrew Hacker could secretly be Diggy's lover! Proving our theory that Diggy had an accomplice, that no way could she have lifted Booth on her own and proving that every guy Brennan dates has to have some major character flaw...like say? Being a mad axe murderer for instance!

Can I just comment on how odd the episode title seems? I'm not complaining, but...Bones Museum? "Night at the Lab" or "Night at the Jeffersonian I understand."

Unless of course it's supposed to be a play off of the movie, in which case that's kinda corny.

I'm with you Moonlight, the title is grammatically (sp?) incorrect. If it's going to be anything, it should have been Night at THE Bones Museum.

And in response to Dawnsfire, there is a cartoon villian named The Hacker, he's the green guy with the oddly shaped chin on Cyberchase.

Just read the sides, and actually the title is:

Maybe they're missing an apostrophe? Bones' Museum, perchance? I had a hard enough time just opening it that I wasn't going to go back and check.

Still. That still is odd. It's not JUST bones there. If it was "Bones'" I could maybe understand.

A few things:

1. I agree that Booth needs to grow a pair when it comes to his "relationship" with Brennan so I actually think that this whole date might be good because it could push him in the right direction. I am upset about the whole denial thing by Booth (I thought we moved past that two seasons ago) but also understand that in front of his boss, it is probably better to denial that you are madly in love with your partner.

2. How old is Hacker? If Booth is five years older than Brennan and Hacker tells Booth that he is doing a good job especially for someone "so young," doesn't that make Hacker kind of old? Wouldn't there be a big age difference between Hacker and Brennan? That could be kind of awkward of he was Cullen-old...

3. I'm glad that we are finally starting to see some of Booth's co-workers, who have been sadly absent since Season 1.

Okay, that's it. Excited for new sides though, no matter what they say!

Everything you've said here, I agree with. Everything.

I just felt utterly depressed after reading this (the sides, not your post Tink) and I know I shouldn't, I'm a grown woman, but this is just so soapy.

Brennan loves Booth. Booth loves Brennan.

Both are scared.

Bones tries to push Booth into an admission of love or something, anything, by dating someone else. He epic fails at this.

Bones goes on date. Booth mopes in a corner.

Booth finally decides to do something, then sees something which is misunderstood. Bones decides not to date this guy and goes to tell Booth of her real feelings, but sees something which is misunderstood.

It's every soap opera ever written and you know what, I've always lost interest by the first misunderstanding.

ARGH. Get me a decent relationship storyline already. Seriously, they set up this great love story between them and they piss about with diversions. I thought the spoilers for the first few episodes were reasonably promising. They seemed to be setting things up nicely.

Tell me I'm over-reacting, fine. This is just so 'ugh'. Even for one episode. Booth needs to stop being such a pussy. And, brilliant Brennan - go for Booth's boss. That'll feed his insecurities about not being good enough for you very nicely.

This makes me think that the kiss that was scripted in the first episode is all in Booth's head.

And also that they'll never get together on the show. Ever. Except maybe in little tiny pictures as the final credits roll.

There's speculation on other forums that the phone call she gets at dinner is Angela calling her back to the Jeffersonian to 'have words' and that's what causes the argument.

i think this makes sense to me. i mean Stephen Nathan said that they were almost re-slating their relationship. In some ways this is new to Booth. Hes going to make the same mistakes again.

i dont think a third component is ever bad considering most of the time it only results in the two main components being pushed closer together. I really see no harm in it.
