Season 4 ick/meh episodes

Thank you! That is exactly how I feel. In some eps, she could interrogate and in the others, she was like 'What do I do?" Talk about inconsistency. You hit the nail on the head!

And that's what sucks, because all in all season 4 was dubbed "The one in which Brennan figures it out"; she wants that life, regardless of how illogical it may seem. It just some incredibly soft science and slight OOCness to get her there.

So...what's our motto for season five then? "Season five, may Booth not almost die and stay alive?"...Yeah. I suck at rhyming so I don't have an idea.

Yeah, I'm not much of a rhymer either. I thought of several mottos for season five, I just can't pick one so I'm listing my top ten:

1. "Season Five, A return to science, case work, and shipperlicious moments."
   
2. "Season Five, How about this time someone else gets shot?"
   
3. "Season Five, Consistency Continuity Creativity!"
   
4. "Season Five, The Gravedigger had an Accomplice?!"

I can't make up my mind so I decided to make it a poll question.

I just finished watching Aliens in a Spaceship and realized how much I love the first and second seasons and how this one did not live up to it at all. Sad really.

I'm crossing my fingers for season 5 though.

I was actually just thinking that the other day. TNT has been replaying some of the season two episodes and I caught one of the Howard Epps episodes, and I was struck by how different everything seems now. I think season three probably would have been better than it was (the whole Gormogon thing) had there not been the writer's strike.

This season felt like it was supposed to be a transition of sorts. I don't know if that's how it was intended, but it doesn't feel as smooth of a transition like it was supposed to be. The characters are kind of off-kilter. The cases are riddled with jokes and things that this show never used to be about. There are a couple of decent episodes, but yeah...I miss the old season one and two days.

Completely agree about the writers strike; I don't watch much TV besides Bones, so I have no idea if other shows were similarly affected. While PitH has grown on me a bit (except for Zack ), my original thought was that the editing was a bit rushed and the strike hadn't given them enough time to properly set everything up. But it still was better than most of this season.

I'll have to think about the transition aspect. You might be right, if only in the rotating interns.

Sorry about that, mereva. I thought it was something that that website had put together, but I found it on youtube too. This is the reel that they showed at Comic-Con.

awww i agree, they havent topped season 1 & 2 for me.

I didn't have any episodes in season 4 I loathed and would never watch again, but there was definitely some glaring inconsistencies with a few episodes, they've all been mentioned here already so I'll refrain from repeating them .
I felt that Double Death of the Dearly Departed was really out of place, compared to all the other episodes it was extremely slapsticky. I do have to say that as an unspoiled viewer ( at the time LOL) I actually kinda liked The end in the beginning. It had all sorts of inside jokes that I enjoyed and since I was unspoiled I did not feel let down. However after reading the spoilers that were posted for that show including HH's comments I can understand why others were so upset by it.
