What happens when...
When Bones goes off air ( ), what do think will happen? To us, I mean. Will we just forget about it and move on? Or continue writing fanfic, like nothing happened? (etc.) If that makes any sense whatsoever.

Re: What happens when...
I'm so grateful that Fox and the other networks have realized that fans will purchase the seasons on DVD. I won't be forgetting the show anytime soon. I still watch my DVD's like crazy and of course can quote many of the episodes I've watched them so much. LOL...

If Bones goes off the air I will:
1) go cry in a corner
2) go on a rant
3) watch all the episodes again
I just hope it doesn't go off the air...

Re: What happens when...
Law and Order has been around for twenty years, Bones is at least as good. Why should it ever go off the air?
Okay, now for the reality check. when Bones does go away in two or three years, I hope to still be writing fanfics, watching old episodes, and yakking with everyone here over what David and Emily and the rest of the cast are doing now, following their progress, their careers, their lives just like we do now. Just because the show is over doesn't mean it has to end. If nothing else Buffy fandom has taught us that.

Re: What happens when...
I almost had a mental breakdown at the end of this season's finale. I am not sure how I would react when the show really ends forever. I haven't watched a show long enough to see the finale. So I am not really sure how I will....Probably lots of crying and DVD watching

Re: What happens when...
I'll purchase the DVDs, they'll go on my shelf and patiently wait until I get lonely for my favorite squints and super-hot FBI agent and watch the series again.
In between those times, I suppose I'll have to do something productive.
Let's hope it stays on for a long, long time!

Re: What happens when...
I will be super super sad- enough to cry and scream and rant. I will watch my DVDs, possibly daily. I will follow David and Emily wherever they go next. I will probably write fanfic. I will wake up in the middle of the night with a Bones quote or a moment in my head. I will most probably stick around here and continue to chatter.
Re: What happens when...
Find a new show to obsess over. I keep picking up new shows all the time so Bones really isn't my only show that I obsess over but most of the time it's the main one. I also seem to get obsessed with quite a few cancelled shows so it won't really bother me when Bones ends, although it will if it ends in a really bad way.

Then you get me addicted to cancelled shows and I...steal your DVDs and have posters of British men which attack me in the middle of the night
I do have to agree with the new obsessions thing, and I don't know...after most of season 4, I wouldn't *mind* Bones ending, as long as they did it in a good way (ie went back to 'real' Bones). As soon as I think that, then there's a Booth and Brennan synapse in my head which starts screaming though.

Re: What happens when...
I didn't know what to do with myself when The X-files went off the air (even though it was admittedly two years overdue to say goodbye), and I didn't fall so hard for another show until this year when I started to really get into Bones. Like another fan mentioned earlier, I think we keep the love alive through the fandom, and through the fics. Just because a show ends doesn't mean we have to ever stop enjoying it, or paying tribute to it! It's us die-hards that keep shows like Buffy, Bones, and The X-Files alive long after their run. We are like scorned lovers that never get over our ex who dumped us! Maybe that sounds a little pathetic, but I'm ok with it.

. I don't think that I'll EVER forget Bones. I commited too much time and love into it to forget it. I'm not a writer, but, maybe in the funture, I'll write fanfic, I'll most definately continue reading it, I'll come here (it is my homepage you know) and discuss with you guys when the movie's coming out, when they'll rerelease the DVDs, etc. I'll NEVER forget Bones.

Good Lord!! That is just no an acceptable thing to happen. Booth and Brennan will have their children, grandchildren, great grand children on the show. Go off the air It will be the longest running show in the history of the Universe!bones206 wrote:When Bones goes off air ( ), what do think will happen? To us, I mean. Re: What happens when...
OMG no...*cries*
You're joking, right? Bones...over? But they have to go at it like rabbits first. And Booth DOES need to start that country first. I mean really, that could take a whole season. Or two or three.
And also there's still Booth's backstory with his family. And and...*hyperventilates*
[/mental breakdown]
Realistically though, there's a chance the show might not get picked up again after the two year renewal. Not that I want that to happen, but depending on what goes down in these next two seasons and how far we go, it might not get renewed. Honestly, and I hate to say this...but if they've gotten together at that point, angst/past issues are resolved, and the general consensus is that everyone is at least semi-content...ending it there would be better than dragging it out for another season or two, a la Gilmore Girls, and killing fans with waiting for what we all know will happen but dragging us through the mud first.
Basically, I'd like it to go out while it's awesome and good and, well...respected I guess. Not something that makes people roll their eyes and turn the channel. It's gotten a bit that way lately I know, but I think with what's ahead in season five we could be heading back to dramatic bits again, which is good.
I hope we'll still be here. Still doing fanfic, watching the DVDs and fanvids. I'll probably cry like a baby before going into hysterics. I know they're not real but...it's Booth and Brennan. That's real enough.

Yeah I actually would not have been *that* upset if Bones had been cancelled this year even though ending it on The End in the Beginning wouldn't have really been the best way for it to have finished. But I would rather that it end earlier than have another season or two of crap like the majority of season four was.
