rhythmics is a lot like Dance, but we have props, clubs, balls, ropes, ribbons, and includes a lot of contortion. We stretch about 3 hours a day and practice for an hour. I went to competitions in all three, gymnastics, dance and rhythmics. I loove competing I'm such a competitive person. Haha! We have a lot of our dances and stuff on DVD and i like to watch them. LOL! I'm such a dork.

the difference between Rhythmics and Artistic gymnastics is artistic is the most popular gymnastics, it's what most people think of when they think of gymnastics. They do routines on different apparatuses, beam, bars, vault and floor. Rhythmics uses just the floor and the four different props, ribbons, clubs, rope and ball. You can youtube rhythmic gymnastics. It's really popular in Russia, not so much here. But the gym I go too houses for all three sports, so I do them all. I just like being there.

Before that I was in beauty pageants until I was 6.

Sounds like a lot of fun Ella. I've never been coordinated enough to do that stuff...

It's a term used to refer to methods of preventing flood waters from damaging areas. For example the levee's in New Orleans that did not work so well.

It takes a lot of time. It's all mental. I mean it has to be when they make you split and put your front leg up on a chair and press your back leg to the floor. It's painful, but it's so fun!

personally I have always enjoyed watching the rhythmic gymnast better on TV especially with the ribbon! it looks sooo pretty with all the swirls you do and everything!

Yep. My favorite is ribbon. i especially love when we spin and bring our leg up to our heads, it looks really pretty.

I always wanted the do ice skating so i could spin as fast as they can! lol! But I would be a lot like Brennan on ice skates, a train wreck..

The eye/hand co-ordination you need is pretty impressive with that sort of gymnastics
