Re: The Passenger in the Oven-RATINGS
Early Nielsen ratings - which are actually subject to change - by tvbythenumbers predict another solid night for BONES.
Early Wednesday Ratings: ‘Pushing Daisies’ gasps for air and gets none
Posted on 20 November 2008 by Robert Seidman
On to the early metered market tidbits. While we know these numbers are early, and subject to change, I don’t think they can change enough to make fans of Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money and Life feel any better about the ratings the shows are pulling.
Pushing Daisies which we’ve predicted the mid season cancellation of for months pretty much ensured that fate with a series low 3.4/6 (household rating/share) for the hour. And I don’t want to hear anything about not as many people watching TV at 8pm, because apparently it went down in the second half hour where it had a 3.2/5.
ABC’s Dirty Sexy Money did better than that, but unfortunately its 4.3/7 at 10pm was still in last place and lower than the 4.7/8 it scored in the early metered markets the last time it aired two weeks ago. It was also lower than Eli Stone’s early metered market number from the night before (5.2/9), but that had a couple of minutes of Dancing With the Stars in it, which got factored out in the finals. We’ll see what Dirty Sexy Money’s 18-49 demographics look like a little bit later in the morning.
...
Criminal Minds (10.4/16) looks to be the night’s most watched show, and Fox’s Bones (6.9/11) will probably have the best demo numbers. Both shows in CBS’ 8pm comedy block, The New Adventures of Old Christine and Gary Unmarried earned a 5.1/8. They both got a 4.4/7 last week, and the week prior to that Christine had a 4.4/7 and Gary Unmarried a 4.2/5, so that trend is good for CBS.

Me too. But it's either Bones or Pushing Daisies here. And I rather have Bones on top.

FOX started the night in first place with a 6.6/11 for "Bones." CBS' comedies "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and "Gary Unmarried" did a 5.2/8 for the hour. NBC's "Knight Rider" was third, nipping the 3.2/5 for the season finale of "America's Next Top Model" and the 3.1/5 for ABC's "Pushing Daisies."

Re: The Passenger in the Oven-RATINGS
tv guide:
8 pm/ET
Bones won the hour and topped the demos, delivering 10.73 million total viewers (dipping 150K from last week's season high). Securing second was CBS' sitcombo of Old Christine (8.09 mil, +18 percent) and Gary Unmarried (8.14 mil, +21 percent), both of which surged to season highs. Knight Rider rode third with 5.12 mil.
Here's where it gets sad. Despite a wave of well-wishes from its fans, Pushing Daisies mustered a mere 4.86 mil, fumbling 27 percent of its most recent audience — which, yes, was inflated by the Obamamercial — but also plunging 14 percent from the outing prior to that. Sources had been saying that the series is kaput; sources would now seem to be right.
Top Model's season-ender delivered the series' best audience in nearly a year — 4.8 million viewers.

Ratings: 'CSI: NY' draws extra eyes for its 100th episode
Nov 20, 2008, 05:22 PM | by Annie Barrett
Fourteen million viewers tuned in for CSI: NY's 100th episode, in which Gary Sinise's Det. Mac Taylor investigated cases whose victims shared his name. That's a huge number for CSI: NY, up 17 percent from last week's episode, and up a whopping 21 percent from last season's average. CBS' other programming saw ratings boosts as well. Gary Unmarried and The New Adventures of Old Christine both drew 8.1 million viewers, scoring respective 16 percent and 17 percent gains. Criminal Minds increased its viewership by 10 percent over last week, averaging 16.4 million to make it the night's most-watched show (as usual). The night's other winner: Fox's Bones (10.7 million viewers) earned the highest share of the 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. audience, even though it was down slightly from the previous week.
Meanwhile, Wednesday programming from ABC and CBS suffered. Viewership was down for the Peacock's hour-longs: Knight Rider (5.1 million), Law & Order (7.6 million), and Life (5.3 million, a 500k loss since last week). ABC's three dramas fared even worse. Pushing Daisies bottomed out with 4.9 million viewers, its lowest number this season by far, and down 27 percent from its debut-season average. Private Practice (7.1 million) lost a whole quarter of its viewership from its last new episode, while Dirty Sexy Money (5.6 million) lost 10 percent. Last week, ABC aired the CMA Awards all night, so that could account for the significant dropoff.
On the CW, the season -- excuse me, cycle -- finale of America's Next Top Model netted 4.8 million viewers, over a million more than last week. Its followup, Stylista, got to bask in Top Model's catwalk-y glow, gaining half a million viewers from last week's episode with a 2.2-million-viewer turnout.
