Hmm...pondering the end scene. What do you think Brennan meant when she said "My eyes will never be caught by those shiny bobbles again"? To me and my convoluted English-driven brain, it sounds like...a Brennan confession. Ie Jared/other partners of which there are many are the shiny bobbles and they caught her eye but Booth is the non-shiny bobble and he's the only one who will catch her eye.

Am I the only one thinking that or is it really unBrennany?

NO, I think it's a totally Brennan way to say that Booth is a wonderful man. Despite not being totally flashy, she will never be taken off guard by the flashy men again. I think it's really sweet!

Okay, JUST finished the episode. I was so desperate to see it, I actually tried to get my friend back home to put the webcam in front of her TV! Alas, Skype just wouldn't download fast enough. Fortunately for me (this didn't happen last week), someone uploaded the episode to Megavideo at 9:15--forget papers to write, I absolutely HAD to see this episode. Okay, so the sound got off more and more after each break, but I still think that this has got to be my favorite episode this season. I absolutely ADORE these two! The way they just get so emotional over each other...there's definitely love between the two, whether it's romantic or just part of their relationship.

Now, I know I'm going to be completely behind on everything since most of you saw the ep about 4 hours before me, but did Bones just SHOVE Jared off of his chair at the bar? The sound was about 5 seconds off and I was a little discombobulated, but next thing I knew she charged him! If it was as sudden as it seemed, then I find it absolutely fabulous!

And clairebear, I am very English-driven too and thought the same thing! I was afraid I was over-analyzing things, hehe. Here's to hoping that's Brennan-speak for "I've only got eyes for you, you great big hunk of a flamin' hot package!"

After sitting through American Beauty for the 9th time, I begin to see symbolism in everything and I've become paranoid that I'm reading things which aren't actually there, or in the case of Bones, projecting my hopes for characters onto conversations which may not actually have that meaning...

Wow, that was the best episode i have seen. The case was intriquing and the relations were intriquing too....
This was the episode I saw true self and true feelings of both - Brennan and Booth. I loved when Brennan got angry with Jared. And pushed him off the chair... That was hilarious. And did you saw her face. Like hitting someone I love that about her.
Booth - about his brother. He loves him and he hates him. But that is the family. You do everything for your family. . He is the perfect older brother.

I really loved the episode. The best one ever.

I was not so into the case but who cares with this intense BB!!!!! Booth was so upset with her. And I totally LOVED how Brennan punched Jared! OK, not quite punched, more like pushed, but it still was PERFECT! (And yes Tinkon, he so deserved a handful of your cookies!!! Probably not the ones with a rat poison but surely the ones with some purgative!) Way to go, Brennan! Standing ovations!
Aaaaaaand... I loved Cam in this episode! I don't believe myself that I'm saying it, but it is true. She so-o-o joined the club of the BB shippers, it never was that obvious before.
I liked the short moments between Hodgins and Angela, they were very... normal. It was nice to see.
And I actually liked that Clark was there.
And yes, Sweets was very...sweet!
And! My personal THANK YOU goes to HH who made Brennan say loud and clear that she dind't sleep with Jared. Ufffff. I'm so relieved.

oh my... honestly, I did not expect it to be so good... I try to avoid reading reviews before I get to see the episodes but I caught a glimpse of one this morning that described the epi as boring, so I mentally prepared myself... that reviewer wasn't apparently watching the same show! It was an excellent episode, probably one of my most favorite. We've found out so much about Booth but it was presented in a subtle way and I appreciate that. I think that the writers used the character of Jared the best way they could, what reminds me of the interview with HH who said that Jared would push B/B closer together. He really did! The kiss between Jared and Bones wasn't a big deal, as many of us feared, it was simply a taste (no pun intended) of Jared's character - self-confident, irresponsible, and a bit self-centered.
The B/B scene in the observation room was intense and well done by both DB and ED. From all the Brennan's faux pas this one hurt the most. Fortunately, she realized that right there and was determined to fix it with Booth. The speech she gave at the party was very Brennan-like and sweet at the same time. And the final scene? Quiet but powerful...
...and I' m done with my rambling, I swear it all made sense in Slovak, lol

wow, i can't watch it til saturday and after reading some of you guys' latest comments, i'm dying with anticipation!!!
