oh I see! we call it a thesis statement, but topic sentence can work too, sometimes, mary, so you're perfectly right. I just wasn't thinking... I was thinking you had just picked the general topic and so were still at the beginning of your research!

Oh, luckily no. I have read tons of articles so far, a few reference books and all. All during the summer and I did a little bit of writing, too, but I cannot really be proud of the amount I have written lol! But thanks for the clarification!!
