ugh. I have to leave in about 15 minutes... but this thing I wrote... I hate it all. I want to delete it and start over (of course this is several days worth of work ;-)) but I can't and I need to send my boss something. sigh.

Oh, hugs to you Razz! I spell it Shabbat (like Sabbath, but sh instead...) but I've seen it spelled all manner of ways. You should see all the different ways people spell Channukah.

if I'm not mistaken (and according to my partner last semester) it's the service that celebrates the sabbath? I'm not sure though... my partner just always said "good shabat" ;-)

Shabbat is the Jewish Sabbath. Twenty four hours of rest from 18 minutes before sunset on Friday until Saturday night. No electronics, cooking, anything like that. Also good food and usually synogogue.

Just checked the website. Shabbat starts in 2 hours and 31 minutes.
