I, like most of you have been reading the wonderful, By any means necessary,( Cheri Goodman) I also really like Saint in the Shadows, and it's new sequel The spaces in Between ( Greyisthecatspajamas and Jen Mcdreamy) anything by Sleeplessinatlanta is good but my favorite is Silent Surrender. The reality/fantasy week series by Dispatch22705 is awesome ( if like me, you enjoy the M rated stuff Smile

) and the other one I'm really enjoying is Slouching toward Bethlehem ( aregularjo) , it's really sad and heartbreakingly realistic. All found at FF.net

And fifthed and sixthed! Sleepless is among the best smut writers out there, definitely the queen of smut right now since blc has temporarily stepped back from Ficdom. Her ability to enfuse humor and a sense of playfulness into scenes that are intensely erotic is what makes the writing come alive for me. Love it! Love it! Love it!

Ah, I almost forgot about aRegularJo while heaping praise on Sleepless for her work. [Only admins are allowed to see this link] is one of the most realistic and heart touching fics I've read concerning someone with Cancer. I've a close friend who's currently dealing with a stage two cancer and we both read this, it's a great, great read.

Does anyone have any good brennan angst fics? More specifically brennan feeling alone/abandoned/sad....booth not loving her fics? lol I'm still reeling over those side spoilers and need some good angst to get me through till april lol

Hmm, well I've got one that's pure angst:

That's a one shot, nothing but angst, quick read at like 3300 words. There's another version of the same story (I received enough requests to "change" the ending that I added a couple of chapters), there's more angst to start but a little smut and a happier finish:

And of course my all time favorite smauthor right now, [Only admins are allowed to see this link]

hpaich's opus [Only admins are allowed to see this link] is worth a read.

The Labsquint team are great, though they don't update as often now that they're working on an actual manuscript. [Only admins are allowed to see this link])

And of course our very own Mama who has written what I consider to be one of the best B&B fics I've ever read, an epic on par with Serendipity that is filled with angst, smut, and B&B goodness called [Only admins are allowed to see this link]

Please stop by and check these fine authors out, they really deserve it, and if you have time check out some of my stuff as well (I've written a few pieces:[Only admins are allowed to see this link].) I appreciate any feedback I get. Thanks.

I just wanted to add to the praise for "By Any Means Necessary". I cannot stop reading- like 70 chapters in two days Embarassed

And everytime I turn off the computer, I feel the need to wring the angst out of my clothes. And it is awesome!!!!

I am actually searching desperately for an awesome smutty fic I stumbled across a while ago and I can't find it anywhere. I was wondering if anyone might know what it is or where I can find it? I am 99% sure I read it over on FF.net, not that that helps much.

It was a fic where Booth and Brennan are on the phone, they aren't a couple. Both of them are in bed (their own beds) and Brennan starts to get... frisky. Booth realises what she's doing and starts getting off too. I'm pretty sure there is more afterward about the awkward next day, but I can't for the life of me find it anywhere!

Can anyone help? I know I am being quite vague.

give me a few minutes......I'll hunt it down

edit: forget about the minutes.....can't find it.....give me a few hours and I'll see what I can do

I've read soooooo many Bones fics and have the worst memory ever that I can't really remember much more about it Embarassed

It wasn't a hugely long fic from memory though, but I think it was more than one chapter. Sorry I realise I am not being particularly helpful!

ETA: I did read it rather recently, but I don't know if it was a recently posted fic or an old one I found going through various authors on FF.net.

that is my problem too
I read so many fics each and every day that I have trouble remembering which one it was, but I do know that I read it, so I'm not giving up hope just yet

sooner or later I'll stumble across it again for sure

Wow, so many great recs to choose from!

I'm actually really surprised that no one has recommended The Beauty and the Tragedy by brainysmurf6. As of right now, I can't access fanfiction.net because my connection is messed up, but I can honestly say that it is the best fic I have ever read. It speculates on what might have happened after Wannabe in the Weeds --> as in, Booth is gone for a month rather than 2 weeks. Warning: even the angst seems beautiful when this girl writes.

Also, Obrien Blue on livejournal has authored some great oneshots, but by far, my favorite of hers has got to be [Only admins are allowed to see this link] . In summary, it's her response to how Labworld!BoothandBrennan met, but she weaves it in with the actual story line brilliantly.

I know some of you have mentioned blc, and she's great, but my favorite of hers has got to be Getting Clean. Again, I don't have a link, but it's a case fic where Brennan has to go undercover as a prostitute. Be careful with the M-rating!

I would like to second this recommendation because I read this fic a while ago and it has to be one of the best I have ever read, it's truly amazing stuff Very Happy

I've recently been reading the loneliness in the woman (i think is the title) it's at fanfiction.net and is like....a what if booth left her type story which i usually think it too OOC for my taste but it's wonderfully written and a great character piece on brennan.
