I love Christmas so much that I've decide to do a Christmas fic. I can't promise frequent updates because the semester is winding down, but once it's over I can update more frequently. This is going to be the one thing keeping me sane over the next few weeks so feel free to say what ya want aboot it. It has nothing to do with the Christmas episode that recently aired no anything to do with a case. So feel free to let me know what you think.

Chatper 1: A Proposition

.She disliked the day more than any other during the year. More than Halloween when children would constantly bang on her door for hours, or Valentine’s Day when she sat home alone like it was any other night. She hated the day after Thanksgiving. Sure it was fun to watch the people who dared to even set foot in a store that morning on her way to work, but what she dreaded the most was the fact that it was the start of the Christmas season. Certainly she had grown since the situation in the lab two years prior, but the season still brought a flood of memories she wished to suppress. Booth had done his best to get her to spend Thanksgiving with him at Rebecca’s, but she adamantly refused. He, however, showed no signs of remitting his pleas for the upcoming Christmas holiday.

So on the day after Thanksgiving, she continued her day as if any other, avoiding the shopping traffic, and going to work. She arrived to find a surprise in her chair, well not a surprise, just an unexpected visitor. Booth sat on the sofa, one leg crossed over the other as he picked at a stray thread on his socks decorated with turkeys.

“Wasn’t Thanksgiving yesterday?” asked Brennan when she entered her office. Booth was slightly startled and quickly jumped to his feet.

“Good morning Bones,” he replied cheerily. “We missed your presence last night.”

“Sorry, I just…wasn’t in the mood.”

“Ah, I see. Well that is the reason why I am here.”

“Because I’m not in the mood?” she asked curiously.

Booth chuckled, internally wishing that she said that for another reason. “No Bones, well yes in a way…” He sighed and pulled a seat across from her desk. “Bones, I want you to have a happy Christmas. I want you to remember what it was like before everything that happened, when you were a child and I was a child and it seemed like magic when the presents appeared under the tree. I want you to be able to be happy and not have to remember the bad things. I want to be the one to help you.”

Brennan looked at him intently, her eyes holding his gaze. “Why Booth, why do you care what I do with my Christmas?”

He leaned forward and crossed his arms on the desk, leaning in so that he could really see into her eyes. “Because I care about you Bones. I want to see you happy.” He tried his charm smile, hoping that she would accept his offer.

“Booth, don’t worry about me Booth. Spend time with Parker, don’t worry about me.” At the sound of Parker Booth leaned back in the chair and bit his lip.

“I um, I don’t Parker this year for Christmas. Rebecca and her boy toy are leaving for a European adventure in a few weeks and don’t get back until after the New Year.”

“That’s not fair!” said Brennan, immediately outraged. “You’re his father! And a damned good one at that. You should get to see him!”

“Calm down Bones. It’s okay. I get him the weekend before he leaves. We’ll have Christmas then. It’s better then nothing.” He stood up. “So Bones, what do you say? Want to spread the Christmas cheer with me?”

As she watched his charm smile grow ever larger, she found herself smiling. “Okay Booth, I’ll try.”

Hehe....I love Christmas...the songs, the lights, the presents...the mistletoe...oh, and the season of BB!!! Love it, ghosty girl, and I wanna spread christmas cheer with Booth!! Can I, huh?? lol!

I love Christmas-fics...they are often very fluffy...
I would spend christmas with Booth, but he somehow never asked me though...can't imagine why...

Can't wait to read more about their christmas plans.

Looks like you're spinning a cute little story here, and seriously Booth and Bones as Santa's little elves, sounds like a plan to me!! Can't wait for more!!

dont glare at her fly......you know how she gets.............she doesnt like it when you look directly into her eyes........back off.......just ask nice..........lol
