I honestly have to say I think this is the first time I don't really like what she was wearing. I love her style, but this just didn't work for me. But it doesn't really matter as long as she feels awesome in it!!

she's in brennan's clothes here... I know it's from the 100th episode wrap party but in that charity auction she an ZD held it was offered up as something she was going to wear in an episode of bones. Plus she still has the icky brennan hair they have been giving her this season...

No's winning...68 to 32. I wouldn't wear it even if I had her figure--but I don't like loud patterns.

oh ok...still not my fave. yeah her hair is weird this season it's like flat with no movement and then a little curl a the bottom...i'm rewatching season 4 and her hair was nice then.

The dress isn't anywhere close to hideous, IMO. What it is is too matronly for Brennan to wear. I laughed when I read about the mousepad! I kinda like the dress, but not really for her. I feel like I've had something along that line somewhere along.
Did anyone else notice that she's wearing hose/stockings? It's been so long since I've seen anyone on TV wear hose that I noticed it immediately.
I have to say that I'm curious to see what the occasion was in the show for her to be dressed like that - that's what I wanna see.

Yeah, somehow the word "matronly" does not come to mind when I see her in this dress. The cut of the dress itself is extremely flattering for Em's figure, and I love the scoop neckline - the problem with the dress, AFAIC, is the pattern. I kept thinking I saw it somewhere before and then I remembered - I had a couch with that exact same pattern on it. And as bad as that is, I still think she looks pretty damn good. Excellent catch! I've noticed she does wear hose/stockings more often than most stars/actresses. I have to say I'm a fan of the look, and a definite fan of stockings on women. I too am curious to see what occasion Brennan is wearing the dress for. I can't imagine it would be part of a flashback since she was so "eco-warrior" in S1. And it's not fancy enough for a Jeffersonian party. It'll be interesting.

i do wonder what she is dressed for. perhaps her and booth go out to eat or something after the sweets/flashback stuff although it does seem pretty fancy. that's more her "brennan on a date" wardrobe.
I personally loved brennan's style/hair/and most of all MAKEUP in the episode where she dates the deep sea welder and the nerdy dude. her eyes looked gorgeous and so dramatic...her hair was awesome and she looked smokin' at the end when her she revealed both men dumped her.
I always think she looks really pretty, but I agree that I liked the season 1/2ish brennan better than the weird styled brennan they have sporting on her. a part of me wonders if they are doing it on purpose to show that she is "trying to look nice" for booth. the cleavage thing was pretty crazy in the first few episodes of the season.

Oh no, I got that you weren't calling Em matronly, I just couldn't see her in that dress and "see her" as matronly. In fact even when she was wearing her bible school dress back in "Woman in the Sand" she still looked hot. Frustrated librarian hot, but hot nonetheless. the hair thing probably annoys me more than the wardrobe. I don't like the curls at the end.....with it all flat it just looks too old ladyish. I like her hair straight. It's so cute and sexy. It makes her look younger too. And I know this is silly but I liked her eco warrior look because it made sense. Something tells me brennan isn't the type to get up at 4 AM and curl her hair. Brennan barely sleeps at all apparently! lol
I suppose every show goes through a season of bad hair. Gillian Anderson had some very odd hair styles before they settled on one they really liked.
