There's a new video too for Why Do You Let Me Stay Here, featuring Joseph Gordon Levitt too.

I liked both of those videos! Something about the feel of that song really does hearken back to the time of Nancy Sinatra and Bobby Gentry, which I heard her speak of in something the other day.

Both those Deschanel girls are so adorably retro it really is a little boggling to me. I wouldn't be surprised if they do as much for the nice-fitting dress as any other women have since Equal Rights became a thing! I'd be curious to know what kind of music they listened to around the house when they were growing up, and what kind of movies and TV they watched. Stuff like that.

Thanks for the links you two!

I like Zooey's music because it is so retro sounding. Even though I do listen to 'today's' music, it really can't compare to the older stuff, before the days of computerized voices when you just need to sing ok to get onto the radio. It's just sweet relaxing music. An interesting sound.

I like that they are both quirky and not your typical Hollywood star. They do their own thing!
