Which is a better book series?
Harry Potter vs. Twilight
Please answer my poll and then tell why you chose what you chose. And, please, let's keep the responses to non-bashing. Make it like constructive critisism. Let's have to fights, please! (It's to settle an argument with a friend)

Re: Harry Potter vs. Twilight
I chose Harry Potter. Although I have never read Twilight nor have I seen the movie, I still rather dislike Twilight. I see the Twilight saga as romance novels with vampires and werewolves thrown in. I can't really say much on Twilight because I have not read the books or seen the movie, so I am a biased source.
I still am a loyal fan to HP, and I love it almost as much as I love Bones. I mean, J.K. puts so much description into her words, and she makes amazing intricate plot lines. Each book is different, yet the same, from the other books. So, I chose HP. I really didn't give an elaborate explanation, but, I would love to "hear" your replies!

Re: Harry Potter vs. Twilight
I had to choose Harry. I can't say as I'm a fan but I do enjoy the movies if they aren't toooo long.
Besides, I freaked when I felt myself becoming an Angel fan, so when Twilight started surfacing I told myself "Thou shalt not pay this any attention. Thou shalt not become a vampire lady!"

Well hell, I didn't know we could pick out own - in that case change my answer to Army of Darkness! C'mon, how do you not like a movie with Bruce Campell in it and such quotable dialogue:PIMP wrote:Terminator 2

Re: Harry Potter vs. Twilight
Harry Potter.
Though in all fairness, I haven't read nor seen Twilight...but I did pick up the book in the store and read through a page. I wasn't that impressed with it, and put it back down, but that's probably not quite fair. However, when I saw the previews, and a 5 minute piece of the movie, I shuddered. That could have something to do with RP, though...I don't think he's attractive in the least. lol

Re: Harry Potter vs. Twilight
There is zero chance that I'll pick up the Twilight book(s), but I do remember seeing a clip of it somewhere early on, with him flying through the trees and swooping down on her. I was all kinds of "Oh My!" wanting to see it. I don't know if I'd enjoy it really, maybe YES, maybe not, but I WILL NOT GO SEE IT!flyersfan35 wrote:Harry Potter.

Re: Harry Potter vs. Twilight
Honestly I like both, and it depends on what mood I'm in as to which I prefer. Also, I don't really compare the two at all. They are two entirely different worlds. I mean, had they made Angela or Jessica a witch or something then maybe. (From Twilight I mean), but otherwise it's not the same comparison.
As far as vampires themselves go, of course Angel is number one. BUT...if it's current? I would pick True Blood over Twilight. I love True Blood.

Re: Harry Potter vs. Twilight
Voted for Twilight.
HP book were better than twilight books, (due their poor grammar..which i hate!!) But to me they kind of lost after the first 4 books.
BUT......Really loved the whole twilight series, and the movies.

Re: Harry Potter vs. Twilight
I love them both! but, I have to say, HP is WAY better then Twilight! Twilight is great, but after going through some reviews, I noticed something. Edward is a Mary-Sue, perfect in almost everyway. and I read somewhere that the Edward/Bella relationship was almost abusive because he sorta does control Bella's life, she can't hang around Jacob or any of the La Push people.
With HP, the character's have their ups and downs. Harry has a hero-complex and has lost so many people in his life, Ron is somewhat insecure and Hermione is very know-it-all. JK is a wonderful writer, same with SM, but I think JK is better.
I mean no harm! I love them both!
